They did make an economy short share. Along with that, the moldboard was longer, narrower, and had more roll to it. If I remember right, it was designed to plow sod, and turn it over well to cover. Back in a time, when farming was more diversified. Fields would be sown for grass for hay, then 4, or so years later, after alfalfa, or clover reached it's peak, it was then turned over to pasture. Somewhere within the crop rotation, sod was plowed under,and a commodity crop was planted starting the cycle allover again.

If you can't adjust the plow's drawbar far enough over to align the wing tip of the share, with the inside of the left rear tire, then it is going to kick sideways, doing what it is doing now.

You may be able to replace the share, and get what you need. But, you may need to replace the moldboard, and possibly the landside also. That being said, oem parts are nearly non-existant, but there is hope. There is a fellow here in Ohio that makes new "Blacksmith" shares. Last year (I think) I guided a fellow in Washinton State to him, who had an IH Fast Hitch Plow Chief plow, and had exhausted all efforts to find new parts, and was afraid he'd have to find another tractor to plow his acreage he grow produce commercially. I sent him the link to Ploworx, and within a week, he was back to plowing. The fix wasn't cheap, but a lot cheaper than replacing his tractor and all.

I don't plow often enough to justify any serious investment. I plow and harrow after digging up Christmas tree stumps. This smooths the ground and distributes 8-10 yrs of fertilization applied in bands. For serious deep incursion into the hardpan I used my newly- fabbed subsoiler today. It would have sucked the draft links right to the
ground ! With this new knowledge, I think my plan will be to subsoil for deep impact, followed by a 10" Brinley plow behind my Ford 1210. Jeff's plow manual gave me all the critical dimensions needed for me to make an educated decision.

I searched the internet for Ferguson plow parts and came up with nada. Any suggestions?

1) Plow parts are reasonably generic.

2) Ford/Dearborn plows mostly copied Ferguson plows.
