Looks like it unamonous, move it! That is what I thought too but thought I would ask anyway. Thanks for the replies.

Being Ryder qualified via my current employer, I think I will check into a short term truck tractor rental. I don't think they have extra trailers for equipment moving but I have some other sources that may. It that does not fly, then I will look into contracting the at least some of the equipment moving.

Bear with me on this. We are looking towards a mid or late summer move. I will update this post as things happen.

Just to be different, I say do the math, first.

22' long 14k trailer $3500 - 4500
800 miles (guess 2 trips? that's 3 legs or 2400 miles) At 3 bucks a gallon, your gonna use about $1000 in fuel. A little less if it's a diesel.

Plus the contract cost to move the big tractor. Figure 800 to 2000 for that.

Depending on where you are going, you might be better off hitting the auctions and buying there.

May I suggest you call
http://www.best-ways.com/

They are very good at moving AG equipment. Prices are better than you might think. Much easier than moving it yourself. All you need is a loading dock at each end.

Getting back to the folks who responded to this post, I made a decision.

If everything works out, we will be purchasing a smaller property than I originally anticipated. While looking that place over, I decided that I can get by with just one tractor. However, my big one is too big and my small one too small so I decided to sell rather than move them.

I also decided it was time to upgrade some things. For instance, my 3pt blade is manual and I think it's time for one with hydraulics.

All I need now is for the right person to buy my property!
