Man, you can say that again. I'll never forget moving to Missouri (Pierce City); we moved when the wild blackberries were ripe, so of course we went on a berry picking excursion. They ate us alive! In those days, they used wool socks around ankles laced with kerosene.We don't have the fire ants here (yet as far as I know),but we sure have both ticks an chiggers. You just have to put on your deet any time you are out in the grass or brush.
