Grand L3540 ,724 loader, bucket, grapple and now forks also! And just for OP.. a pool!
So when I first bought this property it was almost all woods with some trails, I wanted a mower that wouldn't stick out so far behind my tractor for the tight turns on the trails. I bought a Caroni Flail mower for just that reason, seemed to work fine although you had to go pretty slow with it. Move ahead 8 years, I've had some areas cleared and no longer have the tight turns on the trails and mostly mow about 8-9acres of fields with some trails in between. The more I thought about it the more I wanted to get rid of the flail, and to get something that would do a better job. I had bought the flail for $1900 delivered, kept it under roof and it was in excellent condition. Sold it some 7 years later for $2200 (yay) and bought a used county line brush hog in good shape for $900, it was faster but still didn't do a great job, so I went out and bought a 6' King Kutter finish mower also for $900 to add to my stable of implements. Now I'm a happy camper cutter again!! I have the brush hog for clearing and the rougher stuff, and the finish mower for the fine stuff!! VERY happy with my decision to lose the flail and get the two other mowers instead, much faster and MUCH better results. AND I had about $300 left over for other stuff!:D

Had the same setup attachments when I had L2800,use the finish mower lot more than brush hog, finish mower just takes little longer, still use brush hog for late spring until ground dries and when ground freezes just before the snow starts to pile up.

Talk with operators that uses flail mowers and they notice month plus before deer return to feed in fields compare to brush hog deer return couple days.

I've never seen that problem, deer seem to come back right away with either one.
And thank God I live where there is no snow!!!!!:p:D:LOL:

I wish that were true. I would do nothing but run a flail. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Deer will return before I can get through cutting. Deer and coons are the most aggravating animals ever and basically good for nothing but destroying crops.

The deer here are my crops! Along with pigs and turkeys.
