Mx5100HST OR DK50HST OR 5035 MAHINDRA?

It has nothing to do with using common sense. If the trailer is overloaded, it's not safe whether you use it a lot, or a little, or the trips are short (whatever that means). You can do everything as safe as possible, but that doesn't mean the other idiots on the road will do the same. An MX5100 with just the FEL and bucket would easily max out a 7K trailer....load the tires, or add an implement, and you're well over max gross weight. Hey, but don't worry, if some idiot cuts you off, and causes an accident that results in injury or death, it's not like they'll figure out you were over weight when they do the accident investigation, and your insurance company will refuse to cover you because you were illegally operating the vehicle, or anything. No, that could never happen in today's litigious society....never.

I agree with you on this.

The OP said his property is only 11 miles away I would suggest driving the tractor instead over loaded the trailer. 11 miles is a breeze on a tractor if it has a decent road speed.

The kioti has 5.6 % interest, the tractor was around 25,000 after 5 years total was over 29000. I can be in the mx for around 27500. I still have my L3200, witch I put a lot of money down on it. It's is for sale. But I will be finacing every penny of the new tractor.
I drove a dk50hst it had a cab. My dealer would have to get one in. I'm not wild about buying something that I haven't really test drove.
I think the mahindra is too much tractor for me. I'm not going to upgrade my Trailor.

You may have already considered this, but do you need your loader where you need to transport your tractor to? I have one tractor I fit onto a trailer that is not rated for the tractor, weighted tires plus loader. So if the larger trailer is in use hauling round bales, I drop the loader and haul the tractor without loader on the small trailer.

Now I feel left out.:-(

Roger we are going to fix that. The paint is good as is, I have 4shorts 's wife working on the Kioti decals. You are now officially a member of the Kioti pack (red headed stepchild division). :) Welcome to the pack!

Although it's not ideal, and never recommended of course, I really don't think you'll have a problem with your trailer. Sure it may be slightly overloaded, but a slightly overloaded trailer being towed by someone who is aware of the fact and drives accordingly, is a whole lot safer than someone who is towing a well within capacity trailer but has no idea how to tow.
As long as your aware of it, I think you'll be fine with the limited amount of towing you seem to be doing.

I know one thing for sure though, I wouldn't let my relatively inexpensive trailer dictate what tractor I was going to buy!

I exhaust my PTO power way more often than I lose traction and you just can't add HP like you can with ballast to get more weight. You can always add weight on your 3 pt if you need it but you are stuck with the HP you get the day you buy it. Unless you are into risky engine mods.

Tom,

Can you describe why you run out of PTO power more often than lose traction? Without a frame of reference, a blanket statement like that doesn't give the OP any way to know if it would apply to his situation.

If you're really trying to be helpful, that's about the only way it will work out on a forum....otherwise he has to guess what tractor you're talking about, using what kind of implement, in whatever kind of conditions. It would be different if you were talking to a neighbor, but that's not the case here.

Yes, I liked the LS, very smooth tractor, I test drove one. It was a standard model, not a HST. The dealer would also have to order one in. Otd was around 23,500 at 5.9% over 4or 5 years it was around 4000 in interest.
Right now I can get the MX at 0% for 5 years.
If I could of got a better interest rate or if I had the cash, I would probably get the LS.

LS is now offering 0% financing up to 84 months. An R4047H should be less than $22K out the door in most places (minus any sales tax). R,

Ooh. ... I may have to trade mine in for a new XR4046 cab model with 0% !

Jk, love my R4047.

Byrd, my dealer used Agri-Credit. I think it was 3.65 or 5.49 @ 72 mos (can't remember at the moment). That may be better than what your dealer quoted, but that 0% is pretty attractive too!
