My Diesel Storage and Transfer Set-up

What Diesel treatment do you use from Wall Mart for this?
I already us Power serivice in the white bottle.

I forgot the name of the diesel treatment that I use. It is indeed the treatment sold in the white plastic container. LBrown59 I am sure you will enjoy the neat new pump.

How about this idea, just get a 55 gallon drum and a siphon starter. When (actually before) the tractor needs fuel, lift the drum with the bucket loader, put the hose in the tank (ok, it needs a long hose), and start the siphon. When it's full, put the barrel back.

I am sure you can rig an air line to pressurize the 55 gallon barrel so that you can transfer the fuel by this pressure differential. However a small air compressor would be needed.

I'm thinking of welding D rings to the sides to enable lifting it off of transport trailer. Do you think this is feasible. My gas caddy has just arrived and not yet been used.

Not being an expert welder, but everything I read is not to weld a fuel tank that had prevoiusly been filled. Since you indicated it is new and never been used, this is the time to do it. However I would continuously purge the inside of the tank with argon or another inert gas to minimize crystallization on the inside of the tank while welding the hooks/ rings on the outside.

I used the yellow Tygon line to transfer the fuel from the 5 gallon containers to the caddy and the black line with the nozzle from the caddy to the Kubota.

This is exactly what I have been looking for and have gone as far as to order the equipment from Northern to build. Can you tell me what lengths all of the 3/4" nipples are? Thanks. P.S. Brand new subscriber so if I didn't do this right - please help.

A quick look at the photo reminds me that I used 3/4" X Close nipples and one 3/4 X 1" nipple connected to the 3/4" union. Use as many 90 degree Street Elbows as possible to eliminate another nipple (Street Elbows have one end threaded). All materials I picked up at Lowe's or Home Depot. I like the looks of Galvanized better than black iron, but either will do.
