Just an observation....The OP warned the neighbor lady to not approach his dog...She ignored him and trespassed...The neighbors Chicken also trespassed...so I guess the OP should just take it on the chin and apologize to his neighbor for even existing....:2cents:

Owner of the dog is at risk seems to me. He needs to think about putting that dog down. Very sad indeed.

Sorry BS Dude, Martin was there, lived it, and is as credible as anyone I have ever met. His family prevailed in the bogus lawsuit; definitely a bogus ambulance chaser lawyer. But, they lost the $$$ batlle paying lawyers to defend themselves.

I lived in S. Cal. during that time frame so I can tell you straight out, that story is pure BS.
I only climbed the fence to say hi to the cows. I only climbed the fence to ride your horse. I only climbed the fence to say hi to your dog.
Give me a break. I know how that story would play anywhere in 1960's California.

I have a friend who's family had tyhis issue clear back in the late 1960's. They lived in southern Calif on thier family ranch, and had horses. It was extremely rare, but one day no one was around. Some teenagers from the city were driving by, and saw the horses in the pasture. They stopped, and tried to ride one, and got a broken leg when one of them was thrown.

Legal fees so high it resulted in having to mortgage the house? In the 60's? For one broken leg? Right.
