Don,
When I first read your post, and started to reply, my ISP cut me off line. That had been happening for a few days.
It seems to be working now.

Please know that even though my reply is just now being made that you and your loved ones have been in my thoughts and prayers.

May God continue to be with you and yours.

I'll be watching for "Good News" updates.

I just saw this post for the 1st time this evening. I can not imagine what you and your family have been through having so many injured at one time. I am glad to hear that everybody is improving and I will pray that they continue to do so and I will also pray for you. God be with you and your family through this tough time.

I just saw this for the first time this morning. I just want to say that you and your family will be in our continued prayers. Please continue to keep us updated as much as possible. When my wife had a close call, the people on here were absolutely wonderful and prayer does accomplish things. Keep the faith.

Update July 28, 2008

Great news!!!

Today at 12:00 noon I received a phone call on my cell phone. At first I couldn稚 recognize the voice it was kind of high pitched. The first words I heard were I love you? As you can imagine I was totally blown away, who with a high-pitched voice thought that much about me? I had to think who with a high-pitched voice would call me and says I love you? I never expected my wife to call me on my cell the phone. I said Joy and she said yes. Then we talked for a few minutes. I didn稚 want to wear her out.

God is great?

My daughter told me my grandson is moving from his bed to the wheel chair to the bathroom like he has been doing it all of his life. My grand daughter is having some problem with the wound on her thigh. They took her back to the hospital today to work on it. But she is in good spirits. My daughter told me her shoulder is still giving her pain. She has a follow-up appointment tomorrow so hopefully they can tell her what is wrong. After two week she thinks she should be somewhat better.

But you all just keep praying. I am having some problem sleeping. I get one good night sleep and then the next I wake up at three in the morning and just lay their.

Thanks for you prayers and kind remarks.

Johanah my grand daughter is back in the Hospital. She wasn't healing, as she should so yesterday they did some surgery to correct the problem. When they got into the wound they found more problems than were expected. The last I heard the doctors were planning to do more surgeries and bring in a plastic surgeon.

Drew my grandson, (Johanah will be when she gets back to Stallworth), is under the care of Dr. Steve Couch; he is a Free Will Baptist and attends Coffer痴 Chapel here in Nashville. My daughter was talking to the nurse and when asked about the kid痴 religion Jean answered Free Will Baptist. Dr. Couch said so am I. Then he asked do you know Don Worrell. Jean replied he is my Dad. Dr. Couch said, we have been praying for you and the kids ever since the accident. Be myself an ordained Free Will Baptist minister, most folks knew my family was involved in the accident and many were praying for Don Worrell's family. I am so glad everyone has at least one Christian doctor. Dr. Couch for the kids and Dr. Lamb for Joy.

Joy my wife can talk and did she talk last night. She told me all about the accident. Her time in the ER and right up until they took her to the Operating Room. They had to do a MRI on her and she can't stand closed in spaces. There is nothing wrong with her arms and the were trying to tape then together above her head. She said she doesn't know who it was but she beat the mess out of someone. Yesterday she stood up three times. She is eating a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch today. She is so excited. Dr. Lamb said her leg wound is progressing very well. In about 10 days or so he thinks he can close it without any skin graph. The lung doctor told her the traek would be coming out either today or tomorrow.

Thank you for your prayers. Prayer works.

I've always tried to think everything has a reason, good or bad. From an early age, my parents taught me to make something good come out of even the worst situations. In tough times it's hard to see the lesson learned or the bright spot in all the darkness, but something good will come out of this, somehow. Don, in the position you're in, I'm sure you'll have the occasion to deal with the misfortune of another family somewhere down the road. After this is over, you'll be able to speak "from the heart". Take this experience and use it to help others when they're in need. In that way, maybe some good can come from all the worry and pain.

Hang in there. We're all still praying hard for your family and you. Better days are ahead.
