I purchased these adapter for my implements and have to say they are very good quality, plus they go straight from cat 1-3 with no additional bushings.

Seems like that's the same thing I saw at TS, and passed them up because of the $30 price tag!

Ya i cant really see how they think those things are worth 20-30 bucks each, its only a chunk of round stock with a couple holes.

Haven't got to try out my hitch yet, still have my back hoe on, I am going to go a head and build the top hook adapter. hope to try it this weekend.

Does anyone know if there is a Cat0 -> Cat3 quick hitch adapter kit ?

We'll you guys better check your hitches again, I ordered two of them on the 31st and they came today.

Both of them measured 27 1/4". I needed the extra width with our flail mower, the 1/4" might do it, I'll know tomorrow, if it fits our mower I'll keep them both.

I double checked the number and it even says on the box that they are 27 1/2"

That's why Final Assembly of the early ones required a farm jack, to make them meet spec.

I ordered one of these harbor freight quick hitches and it came a couple weeks ago. I finally got the kit for my Woods HC60 brushhog to convert it to QH (all I really needed was a bushing).

To my dismay the QH isn't working with the brushhog. The top hook grabs the top of the brushhog but the bottom two hooks won't grab. I think the top hook needs to be moved towards the implement a tad. Unfortunately the only way I see doing this is to grind off the top and reweld it.

I took the bushing out of the top of the brushhog which allows the top link to come back about 1/4" to 1/2" more towards the tractor. This allowed it to sit in all the hooks, but it won't come out of the hooks without a fight.

Not sure what I need to do to modify the QH to actually work correctly. Surely the brushhog can't be off. I just got it last year. Grrr...

I modified my HF QH, replacing the bolts holding the upper hooks with slide-in pins that have hairpin clips so they don't slide back out. It's easier to set the top hook higher or lower, or in one case upside down, to attach the implements.

When I went to mow real uneven ground, climbing the terraces between my orchard rows, I looped a chain around the top of the QH and top of the mower's hitch so the gap where the top hook should be, can open up to three inches. Then I shortened the tractor's toplink 3 inches. This lets the mower follow the ground contour better.

Here's a photo I posted previously. It shows that 3 inch gap closed temporarily due to the extreme angle between the tractor and the mower.

An upside-down top hook or the chain loop might work for you instead of modifying anything.
