There will be a lot of shavings in that first fluid. That is why they recommend changing it. The magnets will be loaded when you pull the plugs.

My manual says to change the transmission and HST filters at 50 hours (as well as engine oil and filter). It doesn't call for Trans fluid change til 400 hours.

I don't know if it is worth 7K or not, but there is just a lot more metal in the larger tractor. It is a more capable tractor and in my mind a stronger frame etc. But it is your money.:)

I will be changing the fluid. No idea what's in there now. It runs hot and whines a lot. Better I know what's in there. No fish oil ;)

for the 50-60 bucks it costs for regular hydraulic oil or 150-250 for syn. why fool around? you've got that in the filters. I run syn in the engine and still change at the 100hr. Last 400hr service I did with regular hydraulic fluid, the old fluid was still almost clear, makes it hard to read on dip stick. (punched stick with prick punch to read better.)

So far so good. No other issues noted. I have nearly 4 hours on it. The only thing I've dealt with is adjusting the 3 pt hitch so the implement comes up level instead of tilted right or left. I have a good dealer in that regard. He told me however that my traded tractor had a hydraulic pump that was just about to EXPLODE however and he wants me to kick it for the new pump. I told him I'd pay for a third of I because the tractor only had 300 hours on it. In my opinion a hydraulic pump should last at least 550-600 hours. what do you think?

It worked worked when you had it and when you sold it, you have no way of knowing it was bad especially at 300 hours should be a warranty issue anyhow. My CK20 has 1500hrs and no hydraulic problems.

Has anyone bought a service/repair manual for the CK2510?
