My new Kioti CK 2510 HST 2014

I believe the 20 hst is 2200 psi and 7.7 gpm, at least that is how I configured my
3pt log splitter.

Is that what it said in the service manual? Did you put a gauge on the system anywhere?

Note that if you add a valve and set the relief valve higher than the system RV, the system RV
will still limit the pressure to the lower of the 2 values.

I think it is a good idea to test the implement pump pressure on all tractors. Sometimes, the
prep work is not up to par. My new 2010 Bobcat CT230 was set at 3000 psi, way over spec.
Sometimes implement valves, as on backhoes, are set way too low.

I received my Kioti CK 2510 today! I noticed a couple of things:
1. The bucket is about 10 percent bigger than my CK 20s, but the metal is 10 percent thinner. The loader rams are a bit smaller, that's it! The axles look the same I like some improvements like the 6.5 gal gas tank.
11.3 gpm hydraulic rate. The new dash looks good and seems to work better. The engine is quieter and has 4 more hp. On the down side, the "step" that they added to get in the tractor is already bending and I don't think
the single bolt that holds it to the fender was ever tightened all the way!

Check your machine over carefully. I had bolts that are missing, the ROPS installed backwards and missing bolts. The bucket level indicator tubes were also installed wrong so the rod bent and bent the bracket the first time I fully cycled the bucket. See my other thread for more detail.

I guess the dealer has to check the pressure; your average Joe won't have the tool to do that. I don't. Another thing to be concerned with.

On my loader, some of the big pivot pins were installed "swapped" such that some joints has 2 grease fittings and some had none. For some joints, the grease fitting is in the actual pin and in the sleeve for others. I only noticed because it began squeaking before my first greasing. An easy mistake to make (they all fit fine) but with long-term consequences.

This is easy to check/remedy. Thanks.

I guess that's one of the points of this thread. Most dealers are not going to check the relief valve setting.
That is done at the factory, in the final QA process. In the case of my Bobcat tractor, that setting was
not tested at the dealer, or at the distribution center. I do not know where final assembly from the crated
units was done (dealer or disti). For Kioti, final assembly from the crate is done by the dealer.

So far so good. No other issues noted. I have nearly 4 hours on it. The only thing I've dealt with is adjusting the 3 pt hitch so the implement comes up level instead of tilted right or left. I have a good dealer in that regard. He told me however that my traded tractor had a hydraulic pump that was just about to EXPLODE however and he wants me to kick it for the new pump. I told him I'd pay for a third of I because the tractor only had 300 hours on it. In my opinion a hydraulic pump should last at least 550-600 hours. what do you think?

Jim
Hydraulic pumps should last thousands of hours.

This saga validates one of my long-standing prejudices: The quality of your dealer is more important than the color of his tractors.
