I don't pull punches, Travis. I have read a considerable amount of the archives in this forum including several threads that were closed. I am just saying that right or wrong, your long-winded defensive responses are not going to help you. Just relax and have fun.

sorry to hijack the thread... this yanmar posting seems to be an interesting study--- for the current bidding price, i'd buy.

however- what's up with the weeds grown around the wheel base? if it was mechnically sound, wouldn't it move? ( to remove the weed base )? Maybe it was a yard sale item and never move, henceforth ebay...

OK, other interesting observations: there's a tag on the key, how recent is this thing? It is obviously very sun exposed, what's it really worth?

If anyone in the area can really sus it out, i might be interested. I'd cover you for your time, only if it's a good unit. I must say, it's a cool looking unit...

my soon 2 be friend, you are correct in your response in this matter. I've advised the same, we'll see what happens...

saintroad,

I was having fun on here. I absolutely love to talk about tractors. It is my hobby. But lately its been very hard to, when no one is allowing you to have fun because of where you bought your tractor from.

Ernie you are absolutely right it was Handlers not Homestead. As I thought of one I typed the other. Tractor land in the NW has changed a lot since I saw their tractors 10 years ago. The one on EBay looks spot on to what they used to sell. I remember looking at a YM1401D with Allied loader at a dealer down the street. Green and Yellow, price was...get ready... $12900.00 and they were selling. I thought maybe it was just that dealer. I visited two or three yards and the prices were pretty close. Not that this has anything to do with this thread so sorry for the hijacking.

Probably should contact the seller and get his phone number before it gets pulled.

I don't know if this would interest anyone at all but there is a 135D with loader and 5 attachments (doesn't say what they are) for $4100 in Hartford City, IN. It was in this week's Auto and RV trader. It's a black and white picture so hard to tell the color but if I were to guess it's the green.

That was the same thing I was thinking of. Grass growing around a piece of equipment made for cutting grass. I need to start beating the bushes a little harder and find a nice compact tractor.

After seeing that green Yanmar I got to thinking didn't you Soundguy have a real nice green YM1700 about 4 or 5 years ago . That had head lights on the side if you have any pictures of it you should post one on here .

Several years back (late 90s) there was a seller in Lanesville (see auction location). Not a dealer, because from what we heard from callers, there was no service, not even much courtesy after a sale. Sold some early recons, some other stuff repainted JD green/yellow. Stopped seeing their ads somewhere 3-4-5 years ago. Likely leftovers from that business. I emailed the seller about the alleged "independent pto." They didn't change the auction listing, but did post the question and answer it at the bottom of the page.
