Instead of detuning the engine, it would be much simpler to restrict the movement of the accelerator or hand throttle.
Please explain what this is referring to?

So lately, I have been working trying to finish up the dashboard. Here's a snapshot of it powered up but without the engine running. Everything works! Next up, I plan to update the steering master cylinders by adding vacuum boosters.

I need to get a vinyl label made up for the transmission gear over-ride knob to replace that temporary paper label.

I got the vacuum boosters added onto the steering master cylinders. I helped a bit but still turns hard on grass as expected. It should work great in the snow. Lately, I've been tinkering with a snowblower design for Snowzer that will use a underutilized 20hp Onan I have sitting in the shed. I am not sure I am going to build it - we'll see. Does anyone have any old scrap snowblower augers they would like to donate for a good cause? :) I'd need a cast iron right angle drive too.

How wide an retired snow auger/blower are you looking for?? I assume it would be off a compact tractor.

I was going to collect some augers off old Troy Built or MTD snowblowers and cut/weld them together as needed. I am designing the snowblower for Snowzer to be 62" wide.

Not really Arly. I've been playing around a bit on the design of Snowzerblower which I may or may not build:

Here's a design question for the group: when you look at the 5v belt being driven by the 20hp Onan engine, you'll see a belt tensioner device. This will act as a clutch to engage/disengage the blower by tightening/loosening the belt tension. I would plan to activate it with a small pneumatic cyclinder (under the housing) using a three-way solenoid valve inside the cab piped to an air supply. Do you think it work better as shown to push on the belt or should I move it to the inside of the belt to pull on it to tighten the belt? Stay well.
