Rob,
Antsy is not even close. We are having the builder do it all. My goal is to be able to move in and not have to fix something for a while (yah right).
We had chosen all of our options upfront becuase we wanted to make sure everything was selected, priced and correct so we weren't rushed at the wrong time. The only items yet to be selected is the siding color and roof shingle colors. The master bathroom cabinet color too. The former builders kitchen/bath rep not only lost the deal when we canned them, but he gave us incorrect info on a color that doesn't belong to the cabinet we chose. So we now have to figure that out.
I am meeting with the excavators on Sunday to map out the clearing zone, pay them a deposit and get the contract. We should be clearing in two weeks, closing in three to four (better be three) and starting the foundation by the beginning of June.
We are now facing a late October move date instead of early September. But its good we are behind, since our builder is behind on the other house. We had allot of rain so he is a bit behind. But he is doing due diligence.
Good luck. photo's soon.
