Dragula, may I ask what you paid for the 2310. I pull the trigger tomorrow and would like to know if I'm getting a good deal. The best they are able to do is $16,400. I know it does very upon location but, I'm curious. MF was the highest quote I've gotten. $15,300 for JD and $14,580 for Kub. These are all TLB's. Is that the price comparison you are identifying?

I paid $16,200 in December for the BX24 with 54" MMM with 0% for 36 months.

The prices I've indicated don't include the MMM.

My advice is to shop around. I ended up driving 60 miles and saved $2000. Think I paid about 14,700 for base TLB.

Sorry that this is a little late however....

Well, I bought mine just about a year ago and I paid $15,200 including tax and delivery.

I was quoted almost $18k for the JD! That was from TWO different dealers. Neither one of them were too interested in negotiating however one JD dealer did tell me that if I could get a firm quote in hand of one of the other brands and bring it to them, they could call JD to see if they would offer any extra incentives on price. I thought this was a really odd way to do business. For the record, I drove by that dealer just last week and they are out of business.

I actually went to THREE different kub dealers before I found one that had a BX24 on hand. My salesman was actually the owner of the dealership and was very eager to work with me. We went back and forth on price a few times and I think that we ended up at right at $15k taxes and delivery included. I told him that I wanted to look at a MF before making my final decision.

In the end, I decided that it was worth the extra $200 to buy the MF over the Kub. I'm not knocking the Kub, I just liked the MF better.........and a year later, I still do. :)

I have made my decision and purchased the GC2310. After some additional negotiation I got box blade thrown into the deal. I'm awaiting shipment from the warehouse and it should be in within a week or two. The waiting game is going to kill me.

I did call around for quotes from other dealers with intention to buy same day if their price was lowest. Some were close but, not close enough.

One thing that is a bit odd is that he recommended a 15" BH bucket. From what I've read, this is not an option for the 2310 (9" or 12"). He says that he recommends these for all of the 2310's because you get less mud stuck in the bucket and the BH is very capable with this size. Makes sense.

I have a 12' dual axle trailer and I think it will fit, at least I hope. I do want to be able to haul this tractor around for all of the friends that already have a projects in mind. I'm thinking it's going to be worse than owning a truck and everyone wanting you to haul something. This time I'm going to charge for my services. What would you charge $30 or $40 per hour?

Congratulations on you new tractor.

As a Member of the winning "Team", and a GC2310 owner, I would like to make the following recommendations:

Yes, a 15" bucket might not be a bad choice, If you have mucky ground. It will empty easier.

Most of the posts in respect to trailer size recommend minimum 14' preferred 16'.

Make sure you are insured, before you take the tractor off your property. Most people find out the hard way they are not.

Systematically check the machine front to back soon after delivery, pay particular attention to the grease fittings. Painted over fittings that do not accept grease, and fittings missed all together, are a common complaint. Spend the extra couple of bucks for synthetic grease.

Start talking at $50/hr, (this is still cheap).

Let us know in the MF Forum if you have any questions, and when you get close to your 50hrs. service for further advice.
