I do want to be able to haul this tractor around for all of the friends that already have a projects in mind. I'm thinking it's going to be worse than owning a truck and everyone wanting you to haul something. This time I'm going to charge for my services. What would you charge $30 or $40 per hour?

If you're plannning on really doing this, make sure that you get some liability insurance if you don't have it already. As soon as you haul that machine from your property, your no longer covered by home owners...be careful and have fun.

Yeah, what he said.

I'll second that! :)

I had a grease fitting that was plugged on my BH so it had NEVER had any grease on the pin. This caused the pin to rotate shearing the pinch bolt. It did this several times before I finally realized the cause of the sheared bolt. I just kept replacing the bolt. This happened the first time that I ever used the backhoe. That will really P*** you off on a brand new $15k tractor.

I have a 12' dual axle trailer and I think it will fit, at least I hope. I do want to be able to haul this tractor around for all of the friends that already have a projects in mind. I'm thinking it's going to be worse than owning a truck and everyone wanting you to haul something. This time I'm going to charge for my services. What would you charge $30 or $40 per hour?

I haul mine on a 16' trailer with both buckets resting on the trailer. I don't think that you could set both buckets down on a 12' trailer. I've never measured mine though so maybe you could.

IF I do work for someone else, I charge $45/hour if I have to haul it somewhere. $35/hr if I can just drive the tractor nearby. If, like me, you live on a main road and you make the mistake of letting your neighbors see your new backhoe then you better be prepared to tell some people no. I am NOT in the business of doing tractor work but I have people stop almost weekly asking me to do something for them. I make more money with my real job than I do with backhoe work so when I tell people that I don't have the time, they get p***ed at me for not helping them. Like I'm obligated to help them since they're my neighbor. Some of these neighbors I've never talked to before in my life but they still get mad if I turn them down.

So, you better prepare yourself now. Oh yea, and CONGRATULATIONS on the new tractor! You won't be disappointed. :D
