... As you can see I have my profile photo working, too! Another winter shot:D but I don't think it enlarges or even comes up when you click on it. At least it hasn't for me so far. Oh well, win some - lose some.:p

Yeah, I've never figured out how to see a profile picture bigger. It's a shame, too. Some of the tiny pictures look like they'd be interesting to see in more detail.

It has been a hectic couple of weeks arround here and haven't goten anything done on the dump but cut the lower hinges off. I will be getting some more done this weekend after a trip to the recycling center then to the flea-market to see what I can find! :licking:!

I did work on it yesterday and have it for the most part done except for the battery box and paint. but much the same as the last few weeks it's going to be hectic for a few more days, I am going to the neighbors house tomorrow and fix his lawn mower for his wife so she can mow while he is laid up for about the next 4 or 5 monnths with a compound fracture in his leg from a deer hitting him on his Harly on his way to work! I will try to get pics on here of the dump asap. :confused2:

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one whose life tends to slow projects down a bit. I've been working on re-building this silly tilt trailer of mine since May 13th. It was supposed to be an afternoon project. I don't see how some of these guys do it... "I had a few hours this afternoon and I built a 1/3 scale fully functional replica of a combine out of old Ford Pinto parts and some bed rails."

Good luck on the other stuff you have. I'm sure we'll all live as we eagerly wait for more updates.

Looks to me like you are a good neighbour to have around. That's a rough way for your neighbour to spend a summer! Wish him all the best from people he's never met but care just the same.

Iplay, while I was readding your dump build I was thinking "wow whats taking him so long to get this thing done?" Now I know, it was LIFE!!! But I tend to hurry things up and then have to redo some aspect of the project ie. the lower hinges!! So I guess we all get things done in our own time which is not a bad thing. But things happen that we cannot control or are willing to move the priority around some to do other things but in the end it does get done and we are proud of our "masterpieces".
NormL I will and thank you.
Here are some of pics of the keyhole slots for the chains and how they are going to work. I wish I had made the round hole a little bigger around, still might! I used 3/16 steel with a 7/8 hole and a 5/16 x 1 1/4 slot to make the keyholes. There are five of them on the dump, 2 on each side at the rear and 1 on the right side about 4' from the back to hold the gate when I open it sidways. The keyhole lets me adjust the amount of angle either up or out for tailgating gravel .

To use the tailgate like a trucks is pretty straight forward, Chains in the top keyholes but to get it to "tailgate" gravel I welded a pc of angle iron in the corner of the support and notched it so the chain would go through and out the bottom and to the lower keyholes. If you want more gravel let the chains out, less you shorten up the chain. Works great

When I swing the gate to the side I wanted something to hold it open so I could dump and decided to put a keyhole on the side and just slip a chain through and it holds it
