Since April will be 40 years we've been married, I might qualify, since my wife's probably the only woman in the world that could put up with me that long. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

OK, gsganzer, you win.

One month ago I was having conversations like this:

Me: "We need a generator."
Her: "Why do you want a generator?"

Me: "We need a new chain saw."
Her: "Why do you want a chain saw?"

(note difference in usage of "need" vs. "want" and "we" vs. "you")

One month later: BARELY was able to get a chain saw last Saturday, and of course generators don't exist anywhere east of the Mississippi now, so we did without power for four days (we were luckier than most). Don't know how she feels about any of this yet. At least the chain saw decision is moot now.

regards,

Mahlon

Now that makes me laugh. I've learned about the different interpretations of need vs. want.

The only problem with my wife buying me tools is that a list of projects comes along with them.

We have only been married 2 years. So when my wife complained about the $18,500 for a tractor and attachments. I quickly pointed out that the rock on her hand cost just about that much. never mind the thousands spent on Pitbull rescue and Vet bills etc.

My wife will never cut wood, run the tractor, mow the lawn, etc, etc, etc............... That wasn't part of the deal and I knew it going in. These activities would definitely mess up her expensive nail jobs. This I could not afford. She is all Girl, but that does have it's benefits.

My wife had me take a picture of her (attached) out in my shop when she was pregnant. I thought it was pretty cool. Then I found out she was sending it to all our friends and relatives with the following caption: "Here's a picture of my husbands favorite things, his wife, his dog and his tractor. I'm not sure which one's at the top of the list." /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Those women can be so devious!!!

PS: Sorry the picture's so small, she was shrinking them for e-mail attachments.

Mahlon,
On the subject of generators, none here in KY either, shelves cleaned, guess they shipped them all south.

You Bota guys are lucky! My wife just tells me "If you can pay for it, get it". That really puts a damper on things /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I've been told, and have yet to confront him, that Junkman is circulating pictures of my wife /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
