I think you did very well with that! I got 15% off on my tractor this month and the other dealer was only willing to go 10% and that was only after I told them they lost the last tractor purchase last year because they were not negotiating at all....

Be grateful you've got several dealers to work with... :thumbsup: It gets "ugly" with only 1!

That sounds like my dealer. They own like 10 stores between two provinces.

Here in central Virginia, there are lots of tractor dealers around. Within a 40 miles radius, I have 2 Deere, 1 Kubota and 1 NH dealer. The 2 Deere dealers are both have multiple locations, one just in my state, the other in multiple states.

Both seemed very willing to work with me on price (same for the Kubota dealer), but I really liked the relaxed casual tone of the sales guy at the Deere dealer I ended up buying from. Not to mention the free loaners I have had all spring. Heck, I still have the NH loaner.

Only managed to put 1 hour on my new tractor since picking it up.

I have been busy working on the polebarn. Picked up this thing over the weekend to get my trusses up. And here I thought that 6405 w/ a loader and filled rears way heavy! Poor trailer!

It worked out well. I got the trusses up and most of the purlins.

Lookin' real good! :thumbsup: Gonna be all done by the time your loader shows up... (At least you'll have room to park everything!)

The "good" salesguy at the local dealer has just moved on to another job and one of the senior mechanics has bailed, too. 'Course everything has a "silver lining" - the manager retired - YES!

We'll see how things develop over the next year or so...

You gotta get yourself some chains and load binders. What's the weight of that lift? Those things are alot heavier than you may think. With all the $$ you spent your dealer may even throw in some chains. Can't wait to see the loader and grapple. What's the eta in the loader?

I believe the lift is about 13k. Yeah, those straps are rated at 3600lbs each I believe, so borderline for sure. I don't plan to haul something that heavy again, but that is probably just wishful thinking. Even though it was 4 wheel drive, that thing would get stuck going up the smallest incline.

The loader is supposed to be here by the 29th, hopefully sooner.

AK, hopefully things will improve at your dealer. Guess things can't get much worse!

If you have to much pin weight hauling it that way turn it around. I usually sit the basket on top of the gooseneck and it ballances the load a bit better.
