How much lift do you get with the RB60? Can you get skids for it? or a different (driveway freindly) moldboard?

You can get skids for it but the dealer recommended against it. He said the skids would prevent it from scraping down to bare pavement. When ever the dealer tells me NOT to spend my money I usually listen! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I've been real happy with the quality and performance of my Landpride RB1560.

Re: Need a 5\' Rear Blade - Reccomendations??

jyoutz -what did you pay for the Land Pride RB1560? My dealer carries only Land Pride and the price for the 1560 was a whole lot more than the rear blade prices noted elsewhere in this thread. I think the price I was quoted was upwards of $1K. Mind you it looked indestructable....

Re: Need a 5\' Rear Blade - Reccomendations??

I can get a used (it looked darn near as good as the new ones) Landpride 1560 for $250.

Does this sound like a fair price or a great price?
Will the BX2200 be able to lift such a large blade? Will it lift it high enough?

Thanks,..

Re: Need a 5\' Rear Blade - Reccomendations??

I am very happy with my $169 KK 72" back blade bought at TSC. I could have bought 3 of them for what a landpride cost. Skids are good for gravel drives, so you are not scraping gravel around.
Our drive is 60' of concrete and 120' of gravel. I use the back blade to clear the snow off all of it, if it is deep, we use a honda 400 atv with a 48" front blade with the skids off to scrape the concrete clean. If the snow is not deep we just use the honda on the concrete and let the gravel go unless it drifts. If you want to spend $250 on a used landpride that's your choice but convince me what you are gaining. It is just a back blade, I bought a box blade and the rear scraper blade for what a new landpride rear scraper blade cost. Your BX will lift any scaper blade made less than 72", but unless you go with the BX series you should move your pins down to get any height out of it
