Need a Ford 2120 Block/Engine

really? read the link!. and also, try to find an engine!. these tractors are being parted out, rather than sold as complete working tractors, because of the excessive price of parts, that is, IF you can buy them!.. a quote " Ford built 3 completely different 2110 tractors in 3 different eras. The first generation was a 4 cyl tractor built 1963-64. Second was a 3 cylinder low center of gravity (LCG) tractor built from 1965-74. The third generation 2110 was a 4 cylinder Shibaura (Japan) tractor built from 1983-86. The reason I mention this is that the parts are completely different, and the parts prices very different. Parts for Shibaura built tractors are quite expensive. You have to be careful when looking for parts, because obviously you may not be getting correct parts.

It is my understanding Japanese tractor manufacturers have stopped supporting 1980's vintage tractors. Parts are scarce and very expensive. For example, a new crankshaft (from NH dealership) for your tractor is just over $3K.

Tractorhouse.com has 25 ea. 2110's listed in salvage in their 'dismantled machine' section. Many of them are Shibaura built. I suspect that most of these tractors were salvaged because owners decided it was not worth repairing whatever was wrong with them. You may be able to find a decent running engine in salvage? I don't know."

Is all the above your personal experience?
I do not see a Ford 2120 listed in your profile.
Only a John Deere 22HP gas lawnmower is shown.

not really, look here. TractorData.com Ford 212 tractor engine information they have the same bore and stroke, the difference being the 2110 has a higher compression, yet lower HP. probably due to the fuel injection system..

Yes, really. The engine architecture is completely different between the 2110 engine and either of the 2120 engines. One is a wet sleeve engine and the other two are parent bore blocks.
You might want to inform yourself better.
I have been a New Holland dealership employee for most of the last 22 years and don’t need to go to a half assed tractor spec website with sketchy info to back what I say. Go look at the NH parts lookup and compare parts and part numbers. I’m not making this up, it is factual.

so, does anyone have a link to a fair priced engine/block for a ford 2120, or even a support site like there is for the Ford 8N?. I bet not, if there is, please post it!.. if you can't get parts for something, or if they are way overpriced to the point that the whole tractor is being parted out en mass, because the parts are too expensive, is it worth keeping as a working tractor??.. a long time searching Google shows the support for the engine has been gone long ago, and you'd have to look at one of the many parts tractors for the engine/block.. at $3000 for just a crankshaft, it's understandable why these tractors are being parted out, rather than sold as complete tractors..
