Thanks for the posts - I'm off to look at tractors this Friday and give a bunch of makes and models a test drive (as well as the dealers).

I'm still faced with rampant indecision... I THINK the SCUT Kubota will work nicely for most everything I will be doing... but - I feel like the lift capacity of the FEL is on the small side. On the other hand - I'm wondering if something at the small end of the CUT range would be too big and impractical for day to day mowing stuff. (for instance the size specs between the CK20 and BX24 are significant).

Guess those decisions are where this board drops off and my discovery process picks up. Thanks for all the input - and options on this topic are more than welcome!

Hit the rental yards and try one out for a day...

For the pool, get someone in with a mini-escavator. We know a guy here that does awesome work. He has a dumptruck too; great for disposal of the old pool concrete/rebar ickyness.

Another thing for all you grading, hire it out. Or, rent a skidsteer or track-loader. Moves lots of dirt, a lot faster. For about $200 day, you could do lot of work with a skidteer/all terrain(track) loader.

I have an older Kubota B8200, similar to the newer B2710 but only 19hp(similar in size/power to Kioti CK20 too). I use it all the time. But, I also will rent of hire in bigger equipment. My tractor can do loads of work, but some equipment does it a lot faster and more efficient.
