Need advice on replacing a few boards on my trailer , oak or pine

Check the type wood they use on semi trailers. For serious hauling I use the white oak from a guy with the bandsaw type mill. Dried will not twist or shrink like the fresh cut stuff.

Poplar here in Maine probably rots faster than any other wood I've seen, birch too.
