Bad Boy MZ 54”
Hello. I am new to Bad Boy mowers. And since I got mine the left steering arm has been faster than the right. So, I disconnected the right steering levers under the seat and lengthened it. Well that worked. Now it’s faster than the left. lol. So I went and adjusted the left and now I am about even speed but I have almost no reverse on the left arm. Thoughts? Suggestions? What did I do wrong?

Oh I have a 54” MZ Magnum mower 2022 model I think?

Can you return to square 1 and tweak tire pressures to get it straight ?

It’s not tire pressure. But thank you for your response. The left stick has always been off. I’ve adjusted both sides at this point so hard to return to square 1

Kinked hose/pipe, collapsed hose? try this: jack it up so both wheels ar off the ground with the axle level. Put tap or paint a line on both tires so that looking from the rear, the lines are aligned horizontal. start it and trap both handles together with the engine idling. You should expect the lines to stay fairly close in register at idle with no load. If very different, you have a weak motor because even if a line was blocked, or a valve was leaking, with no load resistance, the motors should idle good even with a flow restriction. Then rev up the engine with 1 brake locked, get a feel for the rpm of the spinner. then do the opposite wheel. same rpm ? if the rpms are similar, rolling radius is another suggestion to follow. Just because it says 25x10.5x12 on the sidewall, different brands of tires come with varied rolling radii for the same size, same tread depth, etc. Even same brand with a different build date.

Are both wheels stationary when the levers are in the neutral start position. That is usually the starting point for adjusting the control linkage.
