Need help choosing new CUT

And you will notice that many experienced members don't post here anymore either. What is actually fairly common are the newbies with less than a year on a seat, on their first tractor (or perhaps their first modern tractor) who post here with all their sage advice. There are only a few folks with real experience, Chris and Roy are two exceptionally helpful folks who stuck with it, that still post in the "buying/pricing/comparision" threads.

But you are very confused if you think this is an issue of major brands versus minor brands. It would be just as bad if someone asked about a Kioti and 3 or 4 folks jumped in and said "you should look at my brand, I got it a few months ago and its the best thing since sliced bread was invented . . . "

New owner enthusiasm should be tempered and taken for what it is. Sorry, but when people post things like "I've got 40 hours on my tractor and I'm still smiling . . . " Then there really is no real experience there, I don't give a crap what brand they have.

I will try to swing the loader too if I can afford it. Like you said I might need it to add the adjustable snow blade anyway. I like the geared tractors better than hydrostat, so I can use that money saved to go towards the loader.
Maybe our profiles should have a required set of data that we set up. Number of hours on the tractor and acres could equate to a different level user, not how many posts we've done. Then we could weigh the comments based on field experience of the poster. I'm new to this site so I apologize if this is already how it works. I need to dig in some more to understand the details - but I like it so far. )

Ford, some of those options are there in the profile section for the folks that fill them out, so you can get some idea of their background. Most guys will qualify their experience when offering advice, I know I do. If I suggest anything to a person looking for input on buying a tractor I'll tell them to consider looking at mine and other lesser known brands. Most folks will emphasize the importance of a good dealer, no matter what brand, IMHO that's more important than brand. Welcome to the sand box and good luck with your search.

I think how a person replies in a thread like this should be likened to a friendly conversation. Are you helping or interrupting? Are you being courteous or combative?

It's nice that this forum is broken up in sections so that guys that love their Kioti's, Chinese Tractors, Massey's or whatever can talk them up all they want in a like community.

Overall, I think the moderators strike a good balance. It's a tough job.

What state are you in? May have some members close to you that could give you some ideas on pricing.
If you buy new all three of the brands you are looking at are offering 0% interest which may help with adding the FEL.

For the task you listed go with as much HP in a CUT as you can afford, but 40 hp should do fine.

Aftre reading my post I may not have been clear on the front blade shown in Kubota's brochure. They show a front mounted blade without the FEL, if you prefer that to remove snow.
