The SKF pages either come up as page not found or when I do get to a chart/search, they don't show one with a 35mm bore with the thickness required. Who knew this could be so tough?

I also found on MRC's website a 5207c1 and the c1 is extra width. But still only a tick over 30mm wide. And no greater load capacity.

A simple 5207 is pretty close. Right ID and OD, but only 27mm wide.

How are you measring the width?? does the bearing you have, have an extended inner race??

A 5307 is the right thickness but wrong od.

Are you sure it is a double row ball bearing and not a roller bearing??

Perhaps some pictures?

Here's a pic of what's left of it - it had two rows of ball bearings. I also have what is left of the inside race. I'm measuring with digital calipers.

The fella on youtube that rebuilt his used a National 513002 bearing (not sealed), but the national 513002 bearing that I got doesn't fit - not even close. Don't know if there were some differences between years of manufacture - I know the JD dealer said that there were different parts breakdowns before and after some serial number breaks, so that may be one of them.

Thanks again for the help - surely someone will turn it over somewhere other than the UK.

Beat me to it:laughing:

I'd rather not have to install a shim if I don't have to - given that it's on a disc mower, and given the RPM that the blades spin at, I want as much bearing as I can get on there.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

Type SKF bearings in a search and it will come up. I have found lots of odd stuff there.

I can get to the SKF bearings page - but when I try to go to various pages within their site, it gives me the error. I even have an SKF number BA2 B445535 AE and I can't find it (all of these bearings show up as available from an overseas chinese importer, but not anywhere stateside).

Thanks.

Not sure where you are located. In my area The company I use is Allied bearing. Many times I have gone in with a high 80 dollar dealer bearing and walked out with the same bearing at Allied
for about $14.00...I would look for a bearing shop or a company that supplies industrial companies in your area.
Good luck

Just got off of the phone with Allied bearing - they've got nothing, but they are (claiming) they are going to do some further research and get back to me. Looks like it may be coming from the UK after all.

There are two bearing shops not far from me. Either one can get pretty much anything. They do it for a living so they know exactly where to look and which suppliers to call if it's not listed. Do a yellow page search for bearing or power transmission.
