...took a wrench to a couple fittings to relieve the the pressure...

I wrap a shop rag around QC to catch fluid, and insert big end of punch (chose one that just fits in QC) to depress valve...voila...keep both on tractor "just in case"...

I tried that, couldn't get the plunger to go in. Maybe I'm a wuss. LOL

No, that can't be it, my wife does this all the time.

Actually we had a really hard one on our L5030 last summer and we both got covered in fluid, ALWAYS wear eye protection. Next time if it isn't easy, we will go at it by loosening the connectors.

Take a look at the back of the wife's car. There might be a "loader shaped" dent that could explain many things. Don't ask me how I know this ...

I am afriad we are not much help, unless we have more pics. Just because onee side looks off, doesnt mean it has to be twisted. I am leaning towards the uneven ground. If I were you, for better further trouble shooting, I would get a SINGLE piece of 2X6 and put it under the feet of the dog stand of the FEL. This way you can watch the relationship of the tractor and ground better.
IF you manage to get one side on, get a crowbar and pry up the 2X6 and brace it up. Try again with the hydraulics to get them lined up.

I really dont think the frame nor FEL is twisted. those things are tough!! I really do think its the uneven ground. I do remember when I was a newbie mounting and dismounting the FEL, I had simalar issues and I swore left and right  the ground is even. All it takes is a little hump for one of the tires to go up or down, depression in ground for FEL dog legs to sink in to make the whole thing twisted.

Some people have used a come along to line things up...

My sons usually just "horse" it around if it doesn't line up, but I have to resort to other means and yes like another poster, I have pushed one into a tree, but it was on a much bigger tractor.

Moved bucket to a new location to avoid the mud and uneven ground. One side goes on but the other refuses to seat properly. Will try using my pipe clamps and belts on the even ground! No luck so far! Must be the warm weather! :D

Longer sits in sun, more pressure build up. Sometimes have to bump punch with something...side of barn, pavement, piece of 2 X 4, hammer...:D

Well, my BX25 finally has a front end loader again! A local metal working friend straightened the left and right "Main Frame" parts and I managed to put both pins in the loader arms! I strongly caution all users to use a flat, even solid surface when removing their FEL. And never ever connect one pin and move the loader to a better spot by dragging the FEL. The long FEL arms and bucket weight will bend and twist things! But my FEL is now installed!

I also learned about the hydraulic connection issues when the FEL sits in the sun (solid, flat, even spot) awaiting installation. The tap on flat hitch pin released the pressure while I was careful to point it away from my eyes! But, an O-ring in one connector was out of place and it severed when I inserted the connector!

Luckily my wife commented about my tractor "leaking" when I demonstrated the FEL was ready to work on her raised plant beds. :(

My dealer's parts dept. suggested (by phone, Friday PM) swapping connectors (or O-rings) with my snow blade (removed until next winter) allowing me to begin my work.

Here I am Saturday afternoon reporting the end of snow falling today at two inches. The warm temperatures should allow me to avoid removing the FEL! :D

Enjoy next week's warm weather while I work on raised garden beds!

:eek: Agreed, don't ever do that.

I actually remove/install mine on uneven ground better than half the time, it just takes a bit of practice and maybe the occasional shim to get it right back on, I do this with my 2660 and 5030, but yes it is easier to do on a hard flat surface.

Glad all is well with your tractor.
