Kubota BX25
With snow & Ice going I removed my snow chains and front plow blade.
Putting my front loader back my BX25 proved more difficult than expected! :(
I can achieve proper attachment with either the left or right side but if I try both the round surface will not seat into the "U" shaped tractor surface resulting in the round surface slipping forward when I attempt to raise the bucket to insert the pins. Both "U" attachment points appear to be tilted rather than 90 degrees to the tractor centerline. I have tried many attempts with no success.

Anyone every experience this? Any solutions? Only 250 hrs/one year on the BX25! The bucket pins can not be inserted until the round surface bottoms out in the "U" and keeps the connection properly in place!

Thanks, in advance, for any Help!

You're only supposed to use the dump and rollback functions to mount and dismount the loader. I have found a couple of cases where pushing the stick forward or backwards facilitated getting the loader to mount without one side jumping over the hook. Give it a try.

I had a problem the last time I put it on...I ended up wrestling the loader in to position by hand and was finally able to get it back on...

Great ideas but no luck. Both sides will not seat in 'U' at one time. Tks

First of all.....You might not have the FEL & tractor positioned on level ground, and that can make FEL to tractor alignment trickier .... but it's too late now to do much about that until next time, unless you can hump 600+ lbs of FEL to a level location.

I found, once, when having a bit of trouble aligning the two arms of the FEL to line up evenly, equally, and properly with the tractor's receiving seating cradles, that I could push or pull on either one lift arm or the other of the FEL manually, and the cylinder piston on that side would slowly comply without too much resistance, and the other side would respond on its own in the opposite direction so that I could get both sides evenly aligned in the front-back axis to the tractor's receivers.

Of course you have to do this with the FEL hoses disconnected from the tractor...and before disconnecting them, relieve hyd pressure first by cycling the FEL stick with engine off. If the hoses aren't connected now, then get in close, connect them, stop the engine, relieve all hyd pressure, then disconnect, and back the tractor away a foot or so. After then pushing/pulling the FEL arms to align best you can by eye, you drive in close again, reconnect hoses and proceed reinstallation as in the manual.

I don't know if this would address your problem or not, but it sounds like perhaps you're having difficulty aligning both sides evenly at the same time? Once you get them both seated simultaneously, then the pins should go in without much fight if they're clean and everything's rust free. You can also, when hoses are re-connected, do a little bit - and just a little - of rollback, or dump, or lift, or lower, etc, to give yourself a very tiny change in how the thing sits when on the cradles. Takes a little trial & error, until you suddenly find that both sides sit right, the pin holes line up, and the pins then go in easily.

Check your quick connects - remove them and reattach them and make sure they seat properly. I had similar issue when the QCs weren't seated correctly and one of the rams would move more/faster than the other and they got out of phase. Once I re-seated the QC's, the loader went on. Once one ram is up against the stanchion it should stay there while the other side catches up. Hope this helps.

This might show the problem but is worse in pic as the other side has the pin in place. I try both at once and both will not seat but with half this amount. Almost seems both are 5 degrees to outside of tractor centerline. Ideas?

Similar to CHDinCT and others.

I have had the arms leak down. I always drive in to check proper positioning, squared off and proper height. On uneven ground you can always put a board down to run your front tire on.

I know the manual says only use the roll back/dump, but sometimes, especially with a leak down, you may need to hook your hoses up and use the main arms by extending them a bit then come into contact with one, keep pressure until the other extends to touch the other side. You can then use the roll back/dump to bring the arms down while moving slowly forward to keep contact and guide them into the pockets. You should be able to proceed normally from there.

EDIT: Slow Internet connection, just looked at the picture and have to agree with CT Jay, if one or the other will line up and pin with the other out of kilter something sure looks bent.

Looks to me like something's bent.

Did your plow sit on those receivers when installed in place over the winter? Does it mount that way? Possible you hit something over the winter and bent the receivers? Doesn't seem likely that the receivers would get bent before the plow would show damage, though....they're pretty solid and hefty, those receivers.....and bending the tractor's frame would take some event that you'd know about already.

Or more likely, one of the FEL arms somehow got bent into a slight twist?

This isn't what I thought you were describing in your previous post. This looks abnormal to me. If the other side is seated and pinned, then something has torqued either the FEL arm, or one of the recievers? I'd be hesitant to recommend this, but if it were me, I'd look for a torque twist somewhere on the FEL that's taking one or both of the arms out of square laterally. If you did see an out-of square condition, I'd maybe take a heavy bar and try to twist back in the other direction......but that would require a lot of force, and might damage things further. Beats me, to be honest!

Plow does not come close to the arms but I wondered the same thoughts. I wonder if the loader arms are twisted. I may try checking various alignments. Not sure how to bring loader arms back into alignment.
