Hey BarryH -
You are a great contributor. Don't go away! I'm pretty sure that this PT crowd understands really well about choosing an "unpopular" machine if it fits your needs. We haven't had many members move away from a PT and continue to post here. The perspective you bring helps highlight the strengths and weaknesses, or just plain DIFFERENCES between a PT and a good "conventional" tractor.
I've got a suspicion that you may be a PT owner again someday, even if it's as a backup to your other tractor.

Hmmm well thanks for the kind words Mr. Gravy,
Yeah.. I know it may be a little unorthodox to post here but that’s just me. I'm in a unique position I cut my teeth on a PT. So when I read a post on another brand forum trashing the PT. I get the urge to jump in and confront and set someone straight. The same goes for my orange baby, but as we all know that never solves anything. Everyone thinks what they own is the best and only way to go.
There are many differences between the two and, I could point them out very easily but, I wouldn't want to ruffle any feathers. Like you said, both have their strengths and weaknesses. Conventional is the right word for the Kubota. The PT defiantly being the more unique and versatile of the two.
Am I sorry I bought the BX?? Not at all it´s a well-built sturdy tractor. I just wish I could afford to have two and, a place to store them.
Your right, you may see me back on a PT one day but, it would have to be a few years down the road, seeing as the wife laid down the law and doesn't want me buying any more tractors. Timing, timing, timing
Things that draw me back to check in on this forum.
1. I like you guys (really) even Bob Rip.

I don't see to much flaming or bickering here people are civil.
2. The type of mindset can do thinkers here, which I consider myself to be of some degree.
I like the idea of making some of my own attachments for different tasks. When I bought the BX. I bought it used so I didn't have to worry about doing modifications and voiding warranties.
My thinking was it might be cool to have a PT plate welded on, for a make shift quick attach of some sort to the front end.
It´s now more likely I will experiment with attaching a hitch to the front bucket like I did with my 180. At least for now and, be able to use some made up attachment ideas I have. Well that´s my story and I'm sticking to it.
Now someone needs to help the new guy with his which PT decision
