Need some new work boots....any advice????

LaCrosse boots, period!! Without a question, the finest boots available. All types, all sizes, all weather. They are not cheap, but worth every penny. One last bit of advice, buy them loose, you need plenty of room to be warm and comfortable. Cabela's sells some models in their catalog. Also check out Lacrosse Footwear

I've spent over $200 on a good pair of boots and had plenty of pairs that only last a few months.

My current favorite are the $20 cheapies from walmart. I don't tie them up, just slide them on leae the laces untied. I wear them 7 days a week and they last almost two years. The soles wear off the bottom until there's just nothing left, then I buy a new pair. The leather is stained and well worn, but no holes or threads coming out.

I've tried some of the boots already mentioned, but these are by far the best deal out there.

Me too. I wear WalMart's Brahma boots. Steel toe, waterproof. comfortable $25. Wear like iron.

For 21 years, wore nothing but flight deck boots and never could find a comfortable pair. Now, Phillippine safety shoes (flip flops) in warm weather and sheepskin lined slippers in cold weather. Haven't had a pair of boots on in years and don't miss them.

I agree with daTeacha. I like Rocky Boots, especially their TMC line (I believe they're still made in the USA). I have a pair of their boots, a pair of TMC Oxford's for work (very large stamping plant) and just bought another pair of 3/4 tall Oxford's (all three pair Made in USA). Both pair of shoes were purchased through Sierra Trading Post - Save 35-70% on Famous Name Brands.
