What burns me about the TSC hitch is it's EXACTLY the same hitch as the one HF sells for about $100.00....

And the welds on their implements are horrid. A neighbor has bought several from them and most have broken welds with only moderate use. The warranty is also a joke. Basically, once you've used the implement any failure is "abuse".

I'd buy a Imatch for my tractor but the local Deere dealers are too proud of them. Both quoted me 350.00 + tax. $250 I'd pay, but $350 is crazy in my opinion.

I hear ya! The TSC stuff has awful welds. I guess its hard to teach children how to weld. They are made in China right?

I got my iMatch for $223. I agree over 300 is too high. LandPride wants 436 for there's!!!! That's crazy high!

If I wasn't worried too much about the price, or had lots of non-compatible implements, I would get the Priefert hitch with adjustable width and height.

Seems like it adjusts for the top link height, but not the lower link width which was the problem with my former RFM, a Befco C50.

Even though I really like my QH, I still think the Pat's Easy Change is the better value even if it is a bit more work in hooking up.

In the large photo at the link, on the front of the frame under the red handles, you can see the pins that allow for width adjustment.

Yeah, I see that and thanks for pointing the width adjustments out for us.
That's a neat set up, actually and better then modifying implements (especially older implements) to fit the QH.

You got a good deal, Papa..

I've got the Land Pride QH-15, although I didn't pay $400+ for it.. Same deal, a dealer had one and wanted to move it.
FWIW, I've never had to adjust the top hook on mine. Everything picks up from the same position.

But, don't forget the orange paint ASAP... That Green just doesn't look right!

Just kidding.. JD guys.. LOL

Honestly, if I had to jerk around with width and height settings, I'd give up the idea of a Quick Hitch altogether... It seems to defeat the purpose.

I was thinking he ought to paint the tractor to match the QH...

While I agree with the implements in operation that don't seem to need the precise fit as you discribe I would also point out that having the proper fit using the proper top link bushings to fit the hook has its own importance. On some equipment I use the bushings and on others I have welded in Cat 3 pins (same size as the top hook) but in all cases setting these to properly fit means that all three points carry the weight. By this I mean that if you have play in the top link hook then the lower pins are carrying all of the weight, Using the correct size pins and bushings reduces deformation ...................... Jenkins, The top link is not designed, to cary any weight, Only to hold up the rear of the implement, the lower jaws are supposed to carry ALL the weight Idealy the top hook, would have about a 1/8 of clearence between the pin, Think about it, if you hook up an implement to a tractor with out a quick hitch How much weight is the top link carrying ? mrkubotakid,
While it is true that most implements are carried by the lower pins notice how most all new IMatch ready equipment is made, the weight is distributed to all three points. This allows longer life for the lower hitch pins. I should add that while the IMatch is supported by the lower arms that this is a clevis arrangement which is far superior to the single point pins so common on most equipment.
