This is always a tough call. Most people would rather not shoot, but sometimes that's all you can do. On our rural property, the very nice neighbors have 4 huge pit bulls. They are *****-cats when we go over to visit, but for some reason, they are somewhat aggressive when they are on OUR property. So far, I've been able to shoo them off, but pit bulls, especially in groups, are known for going into a rage. How would you suggest one person handle 400 lbs of enraged pit bulls if they ever snap? Quite frankly, I doubt I would survive to kill all 4 of them. We don't live there yet, but one of the first chores will be to put up a sturdy fence to 'keep my dog in'.
