I want to start by saying thanks to everyone for all the great info. I received my new 2210 last week and it seems to be as great as everyone has said /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. I order it with the 62mmm, FEL and 5 ft' rear blade. I have one initial problem. The mower height adjustment nob on the floor will only come up to the 4-1/2 mark. The manual says it needs to spin 360 to the lock position. I called the dealer today and they indicated this was the first 2210 w/mmm they have setup and will have to find out what's wrong. Does anyone have any info as to were to start. The dealer indicated that the manuals discription adjusts mower level not height.
Thanks,

Don't know the answer to your question, but wanted to say "welcome" to a fellow NoVa TBNer. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

PS You said: ( they indicated this was the first 2210 w/mmm they have setup ) Did you get it from Tribles in Manassas? When I shopped there, they said they mostly sold the small stuff at that location. Their bigger stuff was sold in Warrenton - maybe the service guy there can help. Just an idea..... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I too have a 2210 with 62C and FEL. It was delivered with both on it and I too had a little difficulty with the lock. I've since removed the mower deck for snow removal, but will be putting it back on.

Did you try rotating the knob all the way in the opposite direction, then back again? I had to fiddle with mine a little bit but I WAS able to get it to lock the mower. I seem to recall also the lock position not actually being where the indicator shows it. What I DO know is that my lift arms are currently staying UP when I lower the 3 pt so I know the feature does work.

I also have a 2210 with a 62c mmm the knob does turn from the install position all the way around to the lock position. I havent noticed any problems in doing this but i haven,t mowed with it yet.

I received my 2210 last week. What a nice machine. I spent an hour or so using the 210 loader pushing up some brush piles to be burned. It didn't hesitate a bit. I am, however trying to ferret out a "rattle" that I only hear when the machine is at full throttle and sitting still.

I do have one question: does anyone know how to operate the "lock up" feature on the belly mount mower deck? The dial on the floor that sets the cutting height says "lock" or "lock up" and I was wondering how to use this feature. I tried turning the knob to that position, but couldn't get it to go. I'm assuming that when in use this feature locks the mower deck in the up position so that it doesn't move when you operate other 3 point attachments??

Haven't tried it on mine, but I assume you raise the deck all the way up and then dial it, so it doesn't go down with the 3point items you mentioned. If the snow clears and grass appears, I will be trying it myself.

That's exactly right - lift the deck all the way up and then turn the knob fully clockwise to the lock position. I actually got it to work last night while I was tinkering around. Previously I could .....

I haven't been able to turn the dial to the lock position either but I haven't gone back to the Operator's Manual to see what the trick might be. It's above freezing here so it can't be ice in my case. Seems strange to me that more than one person is having a problem with this feature.

The BX2200 has the same feature. Sometimes you need to lift the deck all the way up with the 3pt lever, and turn the knob at the same time. If it does not lock then it may need adjustment. I had work done on the deck, and when I got it back I had to adjust it so it would lock.

Good luck

Tom

My deck lock seems to be working fine now. You just have to raise the 3 pt. as high as it will go before attempting to turn the dial adjustment to the lock position. If this still doesn't work try h .....

I also had the lock up problem before I left the dealer and he adjusted the arm on the left side of the tractor that uses the 3 pt. to lift the MMM.
Used my 2210 Saturday (picked up tractor Saturday morning) evening to mow and it does a fantastic job very smooth. Looks like it had been mowed with a push mower or zero-turn.
This was part of a former plowed field a couple of years ago.

Regarding the following comment:

"I am, however trying to ferret out a "rattle" that I only hear when the machine is at full throttle and sitting still."

Mine did this from day one. Dealer took it back and they went over the engine, rotating parts, etc. No problem found. They believe it is a normal function of the governer maintaining RPM with no load, apparently a bit of clatter from the engine. Mine goes away with any load whatsoever.

Thanks again for the info and warm welcome. I purchased my 2210 from Carlyle and Anderson. I 'm working with the dealer to make the adjustment on the mmm lock. They'll adjust it here or take it in, either way I hope to get a little education. Thanks again.
