Hello all. I've just ordered a BX2360 with FEL and a 60"MMM to be delivered next week. What do I need to be ready? I've bought a deisel can and just picked up a Carry-All from TSC. It will be planked and modified this weekend.

Plan on putting her right in the warm shop and put on a coat of wax and silicone on the FEL bucket first thing. Then it going to work!

Recommended tools and supplies to keep the beast rolling?

Don't rely on the dealer's delivery prep. Check the fluids!

Congrats! Hope the wait goes fast.

Congrats on the new purchase. As Todds112 said, check the fluids. The one area that the fluid will probably be low is the front axle fluid. It may be full at delivery but make sure you check it around the 5 hour mark. The fluid will settle in all the nooks and crannies of the front axle housing, it would be normal for it to be up to a quart low of SUDT.

Highly recommend the Brotek skid plates for your BX http://www.bro-tek.biz. The HST cooling fan is made of plastic and vulnerable to sticks. Also check out BXpanded for all the goodies they sell for the BX.

Welcome to tbn . Congratulations on your purchase . If the wait doesn't kill you , you may need another jug of fuel , because you'll find all kinds of projects to justify using that new tractor . That's what its for

Don't bother with the wax and silicone!

Buy a gallon of Fluid Film? | Corrosion Preventative, Lubricant and Rust Inhibitor and brush it in, let it dry one a year over all the exposed painted and unpainted metal to penetrate it and protect it.
and have NO RUST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will be able to purchase it at a JD dealer or E mail Dan for a free sample can.

I can and will assure you that it works and works well for snow blowers and reduces sticking and thats what you want for the bucket on this thing.

About the engine make sure the diesel fuel injection pump is set at zero degrees top dead center otherwise it shakes and rattles at idle and creates a lot of vibration.

They have advanced the timing on the small tractor engines to reduce the NOX and Carbon Monoxide levels and diesel particulates to satisfy the EPA's
crack down on small diesel lawn mowers.

Your tractor will have no difficulty with the injection pump timing set to zero TDC where it is SUPPOSED to be nor will starting at low idle and no higher be an issue as the new settings create huge plume of smoke on some models and you can actually hear each cylinders chugging like a JD 2 lung tractor at low idle.

I dont have any interest in reaching for your wallet, I just want you to be a happy owner and the vibration issue is well known here on the forum.

If they do not reset the injection pump timing to zero TDC you will not be a happy camper.

As was mentioned. just check the fluids...Throw a coat of wax on it. This gives you a chance to look over the machine inches at a time......Then go out and GET IT DIRTY:D

Enjoy and congrats!!
