Congrats on the new tractor. It's amazing what you can do with a bx.

Your going to LOVE your new machine. You can get SO much done with out busting your butt.

Crawl around under the tractor, re-read your manual, get to know it. Stay on top of your maintanance.

Enjoy your new ride, congrats.

Thanks a lot guys. Yea, it's a beast and has rolled over/through everything I've sent it through so far. I've had some time now to play with the loader and it is awesome, I'm glad I went for it off the bat. I'm not sure about the grill guard, I was under the impression it was an option. I've seen them on Ebay and other places used for pretty cheap, figured I'd snatch one up one day. I've got the tiller so far for my rear ballast, as well as loaded tires. I'll be sure to double check all the fluid levels here soon. I plan to get a 3 point blade, that'll be my primary snow moving device. I've also been eyeing up getting the middlebuster/subsoiler from Tractor supply to use to rip the ground before tilling to uncover big rocks. The implement wish list is growing, I just need to find more money!

Those implement wish lists never quit growing.

The carry-all looks like something I'd be interested in. Are they able to pick up a loaded pallet up for transport, or would I be better off with pallet forks for something like that?

I do have one question regarding the tractor I've noticed. When I put it away for the night and if I have the mower deck raised up, when I go back out the next day after work it's down in the lowered position. Is this normal behavior for it to drift down?

The deck on my BX2360 will settle too unless I put the dial to TOP position, then it stays up.

For picking up pallets, get a set of pallet forks for the TPH.

Now then, you are not going to be able to pick up, say, a pallet of PA bluestone (~3200 lbs) with your 1300 lb BX, but you probably know that already... :)

ps:
If you do get the bluestone pallet off the ground I would make double sure you are on level terrain and your wife knows where your insurance policy is.

This is common with most hydraulics. Now then, for safety reasons it is always a good idea to leave implements such that inadvertent manipulation of the control levers doesn't result in movement of the implement. This way, if a couple of children happen to be playing on the tractor, one of them can't accidentally pinch/trap/injure/kill the other while "simulating" tractor operation.

We always lower all hydraulic implements on all of our tractors, as mentioned "settling" is not uncommon.
