I'm ready to order a '15 F-450 pickup as soon as they're released. Supposed to start building the '15 F-250/350 SuperDuty trucks in February but the F-450 is showing late availability, maybe ready by summer.

Make sure you post pics when you get that bad boy! The 450's are going back to 19.5" wheels for '15 and with the updates to the PowerStroke, you should have plenty of capability. Enjoy!

try it again, works now????:confused3:

now Jesse, what are you hauling where you need a 450? Just curious. Fifth wheel trailer?
I'm sure it's not rolls of insulation from Home Depot...:D

My guess is the switch over to the aluminum truck will hurt them at first vet give it 90 days and they will be flying off the lots.

Yeah, no doubt since the plants will be offline for so long for this dramatic changeover. Notice they say it will be due to short supply, not low demand. Fewer trucks to sell will definitely hurt them grow market share. And with the 2014's in such high demand, they can't build them fast enough to stockpile through the year before the changeover. Huge demand is a good problem to have.

Some contest. You don't actually win anything but the right to be bossed around by a film crew for a day and then get blabbed about in social media.

I haul some pretty heavy loads. My tractor weighs around 12,000# and the antique truck I carry to shows weighs about the same. My trailer weighs about 6500# empty. I'm about to have a new trailer built that will be 36' long with a hydraulic ramp and oak floors so it will weigh over 7000#. I like having a truck with plenty of reserve capacity.
Jess-Love those classic flaps-we are on same page! good luck with new 450!

I've actually had two F-450 pickups. The photo with the load of hay was my '08. It had a heavier rear axle, brakes and factory 19.5" wheels. The photo with the red White is my '12. Both trucks have the same GVWR of 33,000# but the '12 is derated compared to the '08. The '12 has been an excellent truck, especially with the 6.7 and 6 speed trans but I'm looking forward to the heavier '15 since Ford is going to build them with the 19.5" wheels and heavy Dana 110 rear axle.

2015 Ford F-150 Snow Plow Prep Option is a Light-Duty First - Motor Trend WOT

boy, wait until the first adopter takes his 400 pound plow into a snowbank of icy frozen snow at the bottom of his lane to
"push it back a bit". Maybe.
I guess this means Ford has a great deal of confidence in its new higher strength frame and also that the corporate attorneys have been
up all night working in the latest weasel words into the warranty definition of "abuse".
I've seen an awful lot of half tons pushing snow plows though.
