Great picture Mayor! Keep those pictures coming. You sure do have a beautiful place. I talked to my dealer yesterday and he told me that my 2305 is in but the 260 hoe, mmm and front end loader will not be in until April 13th!
Anyways another 2 weeks.(Sounds like that movie The Money Pit)
Your right. These pictures get me through the day better. Thanks

Man, it won't be long and you will be digging a trench around the house. Don't forget the draw bridge.

Had the day off and picked up a set of gator style blades from my JD dealer. Everything I read said they work great. I am coming from a JD LX280 with a bagger and hope to get a good resuilt with the new blades. I still think I will have to get the mulch kit but who knows. The blades were $55.00 for 3. Will try them out as soon as the weather lets up.

Let me know how those new blades work. Yesterday I had my Honda riding mower jacked up because I was trying to get all the dirt and junk off the mower deck. When doing this, I realized how much more easy it will be to simply detach the mower on the Deere and clean it up. I figure hopefully by next week I will have my 2305 in. I look forward to mowing with the 54 mmm over the Honda 38" cut!

Very nice! I remember when mine was that clean...lasted about 2 hours :D But for what its worth, here's my 2305 after a long day of plowing.

What is attached to the go pedals?

snoiger01, I would pull your FEL hydro hoses up over the loader mount to get rid of that slack hanging down. It would suck if you snagged a line on something.

It looks like you have the pedals rigged up for manual manipulation. Is that right?

Ahh, so ya'll noticed the pedal addition...well I'm a parapeligic and have to use those to work the pedals since I can't use my legs. Works great, except when they get caught on the FEL control, which isn't often. If I'm mowing I just turn the control lock knob to keep the FEL from moving.
Now getting on the tractor from the wheelchair seated position is ALOT of fun...but sure impresses the neighbors :p

Now if I could just figure out some way to carry the wheelchair with me. Nothing worse than getting several hundred yards away from the chair and need to adjust a plow or something, or worse yet getting stuck and having to do the "two cheek shuffle" across the pasture. I've experimented with a few options but only managed to bend a wheelchair rim...and those things aren't cheap. So, if any of ya'll have any ideas I'd sure like to hear them.

Oh and about the re-routing the hoses....good idea. They came from the dealer that way and I guess I never really noticed how low they hang. My property is flat as a pancake and so far I haven't snagged them...but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

WOW, you are an inspiration to use all! After growing up with a wheelchair bound Mother (she had MS) I can appreciate your determination.

How about thinking of a way to pick up the wheelchair with the loader? Maybe take the bucket off and pick it up right from the QA plates somehow?

Thanks KennyD,
I don't look at it as "inspiration"....just doin what I gotta do. Anyway, I've experimented with putting a hook on the side of the bucket...with miserable results....I was able to pick the chair up, but putting it down was a little less than desirable. I do use the bucket quite a bit...even to open and close pasture gates, so taking the bucket off probably wouldn't work. I'm thinking I could build a simple something out of wood (no welder) that I could just slide on the bucket. Maybe a small forklift type contraption. I could then pull up to it, slide it on the bucket, pick up the chair and go. then just slide it off by lowering to ground and backing up. Chair weighs about 23 pounds, so it doesn't have to be a super-duper strong contraption. I have several other projects lined up, but when I get around to it I'll keep ya'll posted. Until then I'll keep relying on my 3 kids to bring my chair...oh and they think its REAL funny to pretend they can't hear Daddy and go in the house and leave me stranded.
