New Hay Barn Going Up

/ New Hay Barn Going Up #31
I like having natural light coming into a barn/shop. When I had my old pole barn re-roofed, I had them cut the side wall panels down 2' and put in opaque panels the length of each side wall. It's worked out really well. I don't know if there's an advantage between skylights or opaque wall panels.

The old roof had some skylights and they either leaked or falling tree branches would smash them. The pole barn sits in a little grove of pine trees. Now I have the dang bark beetles attacking the pines. Seems like everyone in the area is having the same issue with their pines too.

As far as lights go, I added two 12 volt LED floodlights to my Shelter Logic shed. Easy to install and I run them off an 10 year old battery I replaced in my wifes car "just because". Switched with a regular household switch. They light up the 20 x 24 shed well and, when I forgot to turn them off, kept working overnight without running the battery down. I charge the battery every 3 or 4 months if I remember to.
