J...Love the metaphorical value of your concept of a (any) spouse mowing the landing area as you (we) stylishly fall out of the sky to our safe and happy place in the bosom of Mother Earth. My spouse has lovingly prepped all my various metaphorical LZ's since we first met over twenty years ago. Anyway...
Since very few of us have actually seen the 2210 first hand, it's way too early to judge or identify it as juiced up, right-sized 4010 or anything else. Your guess is as good as mine but I'm thinking Deere/Yanmar stepped outside their design "box" to put this sub-compact together. Even though the hood, fenders, etc. look the same, the dynamics (read "specs," e.g. Hyd. GPM, HP, etc.) changed enough in this design to make me think that a lot of effort went into bridging the performance gaps that you have so astutely identified with the 4010. After all, the 4010 is a down-sized, economy 4100 IMHO. On a related note, and with due deference to your predilection for all things being ferrous on earth-bound, fossil-fueled power equipment, the 4010 floorboards don't seem such a bad design choice to me. I've stomped on them a few times trying to overcome the first impression myself.
Again, I think we'll just have to wait and see. BTW, you know I would never attempt to sway you away from your fervent dedication to your pumpkin-toned functional capital assets. My primary objectives usually revolve around my instinct to illuminate the murky seas that are disinformation. There's always some critter stirring up the silt down there, you know /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif. I figure that you must have the same mission as I and that's why you faithfully endeavor to keep all the facts straight in the greenie threads. Certainly it wouldn't have anything to do with a repressed desire to have orange, blue, AND green tractors would it? /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif
