Hey, Marko. That tractor doesn't exist so we'd all appreciate you not posting any more pictures of it. Besides, it looks like its all plastic and if it were not vapor it would certainly have a tinfoil hyd housing and soft metal lawn mower axles. BTW, it looks like the paint is peeling and there's a brighter color showing from underneath. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Actually Seth, these backhoes are installed by dealers and the JD warranty calls are serviced by the dealers and the ones I have interfaced with do not have a problem. JD says that it is between you and your dealer and if your dealer says it is covered then they (JD) typically do not object.

BigPete ,

You are correct , in Kubota's eye's this machine does not exist. Interesting to see that the hood and front end are the same as the 4010 series models. Which would make sense since the model number is 2210 :)

In fact there happen to be some plain clothes folks wondering around the JD area at the fair asking folks what they were taking pictures off. Funny they had Kubota hats on !! :)

I am pretty sure the 2210 is a derivitive of the 4010.
I am excited about these new machines--it can only be a good thing. Sorry, Bigpete, you know you are my bud, but I have to tell ya, I won't be trading for any of those, not especially impressed. Why, well, I already got two tractors so similar to the 2210 and 4110. I would if buying a larger unit give the JD a look. I am really likeing that TC33 these days too but I am confident that the machines I have were good choices for me. BX has 500 plus hours, the B2410 has 150. Both run like tops and the B2410 is one tough unit, more than an equal for the 4010, 4100, 4110 etc.
One thing for sure, with an increasing number of subcompacts eveyone is a winner--lower prices and competition are what improves the breed. J

J...Love the metaphorical value of your concept of a (any) spouse mowing the landing area as you (we) stylishly fall out of the sky to our safe and happy place in the bosom of Mother Earth. My spouse has lovingly prepped all my various metaphorical LZ's since we first met over twenty years ago. Anyway...

Since very few of us have actually seen the 2210 first hand, it's way too early to judge or identify it as juiced up, right-sized 4010 or anything else. Your guess is as good as mine but I'm thinking Deere/Yanmar stepped outside their design "box" to put this sub-compact together. Even though the hood, fenders, etc. look the same, the dynamics (read "specs," e.g. Hyd. GPM, HP, etc.) changed enough in this design to make me think that a lot of effort went into bridging the performance gaps that you have so astutely identified with the 4010. After all, the 4010 is a down-sized, economy 4100 IMHO. On a related note, and with due deference to your predilection for all things being ferrous on earth-bound, fossil-fueled power equipment, the 4010 floorboards don't seem such a bad design choice to me. I've stomped on them a few times trying to overcome the first impression myself.

Again, I think we'll just have to wait and see. BTW, you know I would never attempt to sway you away from your fervent dedication to your pumpkin-toned functional capital assets. My primary objectives usually revolve around my instinct to illuminate the murky seas that are disinformation. There's always some critter stirring up the silt down there, you know /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif. I figure that you must have the same mission as I and that's why you faithfully endeavor to keep all the facts straight in the greenie threads. Certainly it wouldn't have anything to do with a repressed desire to have orange, blue, AND green tractors would it? /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Yeah, something like that.
One thing I notice about the 2210 is that it has a real gascolator. I like that. Wish the BX had one, the B2410 does of course. I think that is a nice touch for the 2210. I also like the flat floor concept. It looks like the fuel tank is still in the engine cowl which will result in some diffuculty huffing 5 gallon cans up to fuel but it does sit nice and LOW so maybe that will work out just fine.
I like the wider spread on the 3-point. Will the engine run clean like the Kubotas? I think it has a nice seat also, not to sure about that loader control and I don't like the loader mounts sticking way out like that, I prefer the BX clear view type. All in all, from what we can see the new 2210 is a real goer but lot's of plastic and those plastic floorboards are a stopper for me. (BX has to much plastic also). Does the JD have reverse flow like the MF and the BX?
I rank them--

1.BX--cuz tried and true
2.JD2210--solid design and some nifty new features may move it to number one
3.MF--cuz it is cute but looks light
4.Cub Cadet--anyone ever see one?
5.Ingersol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what is that? I don't think so--even with a Kohler water faucet engine it is pretty poor.

My ratings subject to change. J

I suppose if I posted a message that the Cub-Sub was a vaportractor, I would find somebody who owns one.

J, you know you can't change your ranking once you've posted it. If you do, you'll have a lot of 'splainin to do to the people with raised hackles over your original picks. The only safe thing to do is to 'like' everything and keep your passions and opinions to yourself. We can do that,...right?

Keep havin' fun,

I've seen the new Cub Cadet sub-compact. They have three models a 2WD & 4WD with gas Kawasaki 2 cyl engine, also a 4WD with Daihatsu 3 cyl diesel. The engine rated HP is at 3600 RPM, it's 25 eng. 20 PTO gas, 26 eng. 21 PTO diesel. The fan, radiator and oil cooler are up front...

Only transmission offered is a single range hydro. It comes standard with hydrostatic steering, independent PTO, mid 2000 & rear 540, also a front PTO is optional. Overall size seems close to the other sub-compacts but it's weight is a couple hundred pounds heavier, about 1600/1700lb

Our local dealer has a 4wd gas model. The transaxle appears to be cast iron, gas engine is alloy, an the body is plastic or fiber glass not sure which. Except for all the plastic it looks like a nice tractor.

Not sure where it's built but don't think it by Mitsubishi...
