No you dont... the OEM rear lights are $150 for 2 crappy halogen housings & a switch. The wiring is all there & is just a matter of plugging in a standard switch & the lights. Granted the plug for the lights is something wierd & you are better off cutting that off & using a standard connector. But a pair of LED cubes or mini bars are $40 & give off way better light. The front & rear setups are identical except the fronts come standard on normal machines. Not a lot of light off the OEM halogens. The headlights are even worse, but mostly because they are mounted low & generally just glaring off the back of your bucket. Thanks Fallon. I'm not adverse to the Limited Edition; I just think the 4-cylinder and a little more power might be better for me. I also kind of want the 12V outlet and the factory work lights.
I went way overkill on my setup that I think I linked earlier. I might have been able to get away running 1 of my 50" LED bars on the stock wiring & switches. I love the massive amounts of light, but if I were to do it over again I might just use 4 8-12" mini bars.
I cant dispute the factory 12v. I have my heated seat cover plugged into mine. I dropped a USB charger into the standard rear light knockout when I did my overkill wiring job.
Extra HPis always good though if you are doing PTO work. My machine is a good match HP & traction wise. More HP would mostly just make the tires spin more. But its useful to spin the mower.
