Buying Advice New L3560 Limited and Standard Versions

/ New L3560 Limited and Standard Versions #141
I'm contemplating either the 3560 Limited Edition or the GL4060. There is some difference in price but the big thing for me is the 4060's extra power. It is a 4-cylinder engine, not a 3 like the one in the 35 series. I run a 6-foot flail mower behind my MX4800 and sometimes wish I had more horsepower with the MX. The 4060 would be a step back from the MX, so the 3560 worries me.

For me, the big thing about the cab is not breathing in all the dust and pollens for hours on end. After mowing for 6 hours, I tend to not be able to breathe well at the end of the day. Not getting rained on or snowed on is just another bonus.

What about a radio? I'd want a radio for sure. Does the dealer offer one? Or do you just buy a single-DIN radio from Crutchfield or WalMart? Are there already speakers inside? I'd like a bluetooth enabled radio so I can play music off my phone.

Any standard single DIN radio fits. I put some cheap Kenwood in mine. Works fine except the display is to dim. There is an aftermarket plug avalible for $25 or so. You just splice the radio plug to that as any other vehicle. On the normal Grands the antenna, speakers & wiring is already there. I think it is on the Limited too, but am not sure.

Kubota Tractor Radio Wire Harness Male RTV 9 Pin RTV-1100 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07L15TMXF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ul2MDbXSKHVFV looks like there is one on Amazon now too. RTV plug is the same as in the Grands.

https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/customization/376458-let-there-light-l4060-light.html shows you how to pop the roof off. Not that you need to for the radio.

I like my L4060HSTC. I'm guessing here at 7,000' it performs like a L3560 at sea level. I'd like more power for mowing but the budget dictated the smaller engine.

Thanks Fallon. I'm not adverse to the Limited Edition; I just think the 4-cylinder and a little more power might be better for me. I also kind of want the 12V outlet and the factory work lights.

I ordered a radio from Messicks, followed his online video and had it installed in less than 10 minutes. Cost was $89 plus shipping.

I checked it out after you mentioned it. Does it sound OK? I see it has bluetooth which was one of my requirements. I see it also has a clock. Does the instrument panel of the Grand L have a clock built in or not?
Thanks

I have around 25 hours on my L3560 LE at this point. Will have had it two weeks tomorrow. I am at 120 feet above sea level so no hp penalty for altitude here. I run a 6 foot Modern Ag shredder and for what I am doing it is working great. MY property is really rough so I do have to go pretty slow anyway. One of my projects is to get it smoothed up and better pasture established. I also have a John Deere 950 and the L is way more capable, mainly due to the extra weight I believe. So far it has done everything I have asked of it.

As far as the cab, it is awesome. We have been having 95 degree days and I can go out and work in the tractor in complete comfort. The first day I was running the brush hog and had put in about 6 hours. When I went inside my wife looked at me and said "I thought you were going to mow?" Told her I had been mowing and she was amazed because I was not tracking in dirt, grass and bugs. So far it has allowed me to get more done just due to the fact I can put in more time and not have to deal with all of the pollen, heat, etc.

Would more hp be nice? I supposed it would but I'm not sure 5hp would make a lot of difference. The L6060 would probably be the next step I would look at if time was more important than dollars. Then maybe I could pull some of these Huisache trees instead of cutting them and treating the stumps. I have been pretty happy with the LA805 loader so far. It with the Armstrong Ag mini grapple is really handy for moving brush and trash that I run across while mowing.

It also works pretty good for pulling some of the Yauppon Holly as they give up fairly easy it seems.

The loader does have enough power to lift the rear of the tractor. Found that out when I grabbed a tree and did not have the RC off the ground.

The dealer I bought from threw in a blue tooth radio. Pairs up with my phone and works well.

Seems like opting for the rear work lights if nothing else gives you the factory switch and wiring out to the lights. If you do decide to swap them out it is easier.

I would also definitely add the rear wiper option...it's only $144.

Maybe I can convince the dealer to throw in the radio.

So far, I've requested a quote from my sales rep. I've bought two new Kubotas off him recently - an L2501 and an MX4800. I'd be trading both in towards this L3560 / L4060. My small business strategy has changed and I no longer need two tractors; just would rather have one with a cab than can pretty much do what I need.

I plan on adding led lighting front and back when I get around to doing so. From what I can see and others have aid the wiring is there. The Kubota switch is $38.

I did order the right step and grab handle as it seems there is plenty of room for me to get out on that side and a couple of places I dismount regularly the right side works better. If I was in snow country would for sure get the rear wiper. Might add it eventually just to knock dust off.

How much were the step and handle?

I'd actually want the mirrors, too.

Seems you can add your own USB charger ports...maybe user Fallon did?

Perhaps the Limited Edition is the way to go...save some money and add what I want. Cruise control would be nice. I would definitely order the rear wiper and work light kit and radio though.

Sound, it is fine, it is tractor radio, so I don't expect the highest quality like I have at my house or in my car.

My Grand L has the clock on the LCD display.
