Can't believe I never followed up. I've had the tractor for a couple of months now.
Turns out my dealer threw in the rear work lights, radio, and rear wiper as part of the deal. I had already ordered all this stuff online and had to send it back. There is no Kubota branded radio, so the dealer can really install whatever they want. Happily they chose a Jensen Heavy Duty marine grade radio with AM/FM/CD player, plus the NOAA Weatherband tuner; it has streaming Bluetooth so I can play music off my phone and take calls in the cab hands free. It also has a USB port for music or charging, and it connects to an app on my phone which functions as a remote control. I like the radio a lot.
Disappointments? Biggest gripe is the standard suspension seat. It has a ton of travel, but me being 6'5" and 260lbs, it collapses under my weight, even fully turned up. I even had a couple of other friends try who are a little lighter than me. A 230lb guy, 6'7" also collapses the seat. My 200lb buddy - works great. My dealer says the fix is to order a $1000 air seat. I can use it as is, but basically zero suspension. I plan to remove the seat and see about replacing the springs.
As Fallon said, the work lights aren't that bright. They do offer usable light, just not a lot. They are H3 bulbs. I ended up doing an HID conversion inside the stock halogen housings. The H3 HID bulb has a similar light pattern and is able to use most of the stock reflector. I removed the roof and installed the ballasts in the area where the wiring harness runs. The new setup looks stock and throws a ton of light...and has zero radio interference. The rear work lights are adequate in my opinion.
The primary use of this machine is flail mowing. Because I got it so late, there was no opportunity to try mowing with it. Hopefully it has adequate power for my 72" flail in tall grass. Otherwise, I've done a little loader work with it and now a fair bit of snow plowing.
The engine takes quite a while to heat up in the cold. Once inside the cab, your breathing will steam up the windows very quickly. There are 8 HVAC vents in the roof; 4 are designed for defrosting the front windshield and side doors. The other 4 are for cooling the operator but can be aimed back towards the rear glass. It takes forever for the rear glass to defrost and I'd recommend getting the rear electric defroster (which also requires an alternator upgrade) if you work in the cold and snow a lot. I wish mine had these features. A block heater would give you heat faster. Mine doesn't have this either, but adding one is only about $70 so I'll likely do that. Not all the vents blow the same volume of air, which is somewhat strange. Once warmed up, the heat can drive you right out, which is nice. The HVAC controls are nice, with 4 blower speeds, nice hot/cold mixing control, A/C on-off, and recirculating.
The front wiper is useful. I wish there was an intermittent setting. The washer also works good. I plowed quite a bit with it yesterday and used the front wiper a fair amount. However, despite working during the snowstorm, I never needed to use the rear wiper. No snow or water seemed to stick to the glass. It might be useful working during a heavy rainstorm, but I don't see much of a use for snow. The rear wiper also has a washer, but it doesn't work very well because it sprays only at the far reach of wiper travel.
This is a very nice, premium machine and you can see and feel it. I think it is worth the money.
For those contemplating a 3560 Limited, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The large LCD display on the dash is very nice, the instruments are nice. The steering wheel has a nicer grip feel than most. The tilt works great. The H-DS is maybe the best feature. The need to operate in low almost doesn't exist anymore, and linked throttle is nice.
The cruise control is nice, but doesn't work in linked throttle mode. Otherwise, nicest cruise I've ever used.
