I think I'll wait to hear about them "adding" us to the route. But you make a good point.

I used to get great mail service. The mail man had a small electrical fire in the attic in his attatched garage. I was the capt.of our VFD at the time. I had 2 men carefully pull his bass boat outside, climbed into the scuttle hole,used about a cupfull of water, hand pulled all the insulation (into a 5 gal bucket)from around the bad light fixture,cut and wire nutted the burned wires,used our fan to clear the smoke, had a rookie sweep the floor under the scuttle,left a great impression on home owners. after that he would bring my mail to the front door if it was raining out,would leave packages at my parents house if they were home or take them to dads drugstore if he was working. Now that he retired the new lazy woman wont even deliver mail if a trash can is within 3 feet of mail box

Our paper deliver person is the same way.. If the trash can is outside my gate.. they throw the paper on the ground.. if the trash can is inside my gate.. then they stick it in the box like normal.. I've watched them do this.. Bugs the heck out of me. On a few occasions it has been raining and the paper got wet from setting in a puddle where the lazy driver thru it , before I could get out there to retrieve it. I have the delivery dept. on speed dial. I always ask for a manager and always request a redelivery.. which usually means the manager is doing the redelivery. When he shows up i explain how his trip could have been saved. It's no use though.. every few months.. it's a new manager.. and every few weeks.. it's a new driver... hard to get good workers in this town..
