good deal.

in my mind that's what I was thinking was going to be a fair amount of$.. ie.. to get the t/o bearing fixed.

good luck

Thanks sound guy. It will make a big difference to me. though I wanted the newer tractor. My brother points out, I might not get what I want then too. It could have similiar problems soon after I got it. This one starts and runs good, No blow by, no miss, Now I can fix some other things like a new muffler.
This one is wore out. I already got a new crank for the right side leveling. That cost a pretty penny. but its original ford part. Or at least looks just like it.

I got a quote for $1,700 plus parts from the dealer, and $800 with parts from a individual who has been rebuilding tractors for 40 years and is now retired with his own shop. He has 10 restored tractors of his own. They look great almost like new. So I guess he knows what he is doing as well as any dealer would. I guess the big difference in price is insurance and overhead. Both say parts are around $300 dallars for new cluth and throu out bearing. I don't know about that.

off hand i don't know what the prices are.. but it would be easy enough to lookup the part numbers and call a NH dealer and price them, etc.. or even look them up on the web.
