Yes, you have a point. Some salesman was a bit optimistic. However, at that point what else could I say. It was their projected time frame.

This is one of the rail yards near me where they unload vehicles from trains. Can you spot yours? Screenshot_2019-01-17-12-46-08.jpeg

No, thought you might spot yours.

Course with the date of the pic, my new subaru i bought last march could be in there.

Will your Power Wagon have leather? The couple of ones I've looked at had cloth seats with a unique pattern.

That is one POOR excuse. I gave my Harley Low Rider to my son two years ago. Finally got tired of hearing the continual BLAAAAATTTTT of the turn-out exhaust. Bought a BMWR1200GSA. Quiet as a mouse urinating on a wad of cotton. I'm 76. Suspect I'll be riding on the day something serious happens. At least, that's my hope.
Lol, I told my wife if I ever get diagnosed with cancer I'm buying a Hyabusa.

The cool thing about the BMW Adventure Touring GPS is that the database includes every StarBucks in the world. ;)

Buckeyefarmer - I though that pic was with a new quadcopeter & camera you had.

Dodge Man - the word is leather trimmed. It's a 40-20-40 bench seat. That means Olly gets 60% of the front seat. (Olly - year old Chocolate Lab)

I never even once in my life been inside a Starbucks or Crispy Cream. I brew my own coffee.

I imagine the Nav V on my BMW has coffee houses, it certainly has everything else. Hear its a favorite of the boys in the Bible belt. You can locate a liquor store and a church - all in the same town. LOL

The reason I thought quadcopter/camera. My son has a friend - he is so "high tech" - he speaks in "1's & "0's". They came out here to try out his new quadcopter and gimbaled camera. Controls more difficult/sophisticated than anticipated. Fortunately - landed in an area of heavy bunch grass - no damage.

Yea, I speak 10 also.. One of my favorite jokes,

There are 10 types of people in the world, those that get it and those that don't.

Well - they finally busted a nut and can verify it was loaded on a train and heading for Spokane. Week to ten days until arrival. It came across the USA/Mexico border on a car carrier. Loaded on the train - Monday, 1/14/2019. So, by the end of this month.

How can a company selling vehicles with such high tech do-dads be without some kind of vehicle tracking system??

I have a theory on this. The vast majority of their vehicles are sold off the dealers lot. Few are special ordered and require any kind of tracking. It the old "instant gratification" factor.

oosik,
I thought delivery was slow to Glennallen. When will Amazon begin selling Trucks? You are a patient man.

From your first post, "scheduled to arrive at the dealership within a week". Here we are weeks later, and the latest ETA is a week to 10 days. Your dealer and the manufacturer know how long these take get to the dealership. There's no excuse for them stringing you along with these bogus estimates every time you ask. What's worse is that they had you pay for this up front. I've ordered trucks several times and never had to pay up front. I'm not bashing you oosik, but it's upsetting to me to see how you are being treated on such an expensive truck. I'm hoping you do get it in this next week.

Every course of action has a reason. Hopefully, a good one. The reason the truck is paid in full - there were special incentives for purchasing by the end of 2018. I really don't know if they are stinging me along or not. There certainly is no good reason to do that.

As far as being patient - NO, I'm really not a patient person. However, if I want this truck, what else can I do. There are no other dealers in Ea WA with a PW. I saw there is a dealer in CO with EIGHTEEN power wagons on his lot. But I'm the kind of person - If I buy from John, I will go back to John for service. I would feel guilty - buying in CO and asking for service in Spokane.

It's been 18 days since I paid for the truck. It should be here by the end of this month. That's not too bad - in my way of thinking.

I special ordered my '69 Bronco and again, my '75 Jeep CJ. I waited a good four months for those to be delivered.

I will survive.

It gives me time to learn how to use the software programs on the truck. And this new smart Apple iPhone ( XR ) - Whew!!! Thank goodness it's set up like my Apple computer. I thought I had a lot of software programs on the computer. And the phone takes only the LIGHTEST OF A TOUCH to move thru the programs & navigate.

Bottom line for me is, if you're going to wait for a truck, Special Order is to get Exactly (within ridiculous restrictions).what you want

I will only ever Special Order a (new) vehicle in the future. I've bought 5 off the lot (one was an exchange), but the one I'm happiest with is the one where I went through the list and ticked every box I wanted (again, within the stupid restrictions).

When Mom's 2001 Corolla S was a special factory order the dealer was either in the dark or dumb.

We spent the day at the factory as Toyota guests watching her car go down the line and have a ton of pictures and many of the line workers signed her car with a sharpie in the engine bay...

Factory said car would be delivered on a Thursday... we went to the lot and there is was... the Dealership said it could be anyone's car... and they had no way to know if it was her car...

I said I do... open the hood and I will show you!

After pestering the shop foreman the sales manager let the prep guy open the hood... and plain as day were all the signatures including Moms and mine...

They just about fell over... one said he had been with Toyota over 20 years and this is a first.

Just goes to show a motivated/informed buyer often knows more than the seller!!!

Picture of Mom signing her car and going down the line in her car!
