Finally ordered the PEX tonight

I have a general idea where I need to put in the power for what I want, I'll get things knocked out this weekend. My next question is on how deep of trench and what size conduit. I just did a little searching and I think the trench needs to be 18" deep and 2" conduit. The ground is near liquid right now so I can't really trench, but I need to get an idea of what to do... I've been trying to get an electrician but that isn't working out as easy as it sounds.

Talked to the concrete guy today and he's getting antzy to get the rebar tied up, hoping to get the vapor barrier down this weekend. Should hopefully get going soon.

I did get the corner trim up a couple weeks ago except the one piece that would cover where I'm running the extension cord into the building.

Build a box dig inside the box push the box down, use a pallet fork on your loader to dig inside the box. use a sheet of plywood you ripped in half making the sides of the box. then keep working your way down.

I believe you only need to go down 18" down check then you come up 6"(there maybe a spec) put in yellow caution tape then back fill the remaining. Then around here you need to be in conduit 6' out. Go big on the conduit size

Been slow going, the ground is liquid right now... has to have rained over a foot in the last few weeks...

Spent this weekend and part of last weekend working on trenching for through slab stuffs... got that done now so it's time to get it cleaned out, clean up the gravel surface, tamp the inside perimeter then put the moisture barrier down. After that the concrete guys will come put in the rebar for me, then I get to lay the PEX then they get to pour. Somewhere in there I'm hoping to get the power started.

Digging was fun, apparently the water table is about 1' right now, it's great fun working around a sump pump...

Getting closer, slowly...

I was kinda dragging yesterday working up the gumption to do a bunch of manual labor, but I scraped the perimeter to get the gravel to the level of the bottom of the skirt board, removed that ~6 wheelbarrows worth of gravel (not all the way full, it's on it's last legs, I've gotten my $15 out of my swap meet find...), put a 2x4 across the door openings to see how flat that was and flattened those out. Then the fun began, I took the manual 8"x8" tamper around the whole perimeter twice then one row just inside of that row which is about everything that the jumping jack missed. After that I filled up my drum roller with water and went over the whole floor in two directions to get all of the sharp spots flat... With that said, my shoulders have been kinda mad today...

I went and helped my brother with some stuff today, but after dinner the wife and I spread out the plastic, I'm going to let it relax until tomorrow before I try to trim around posts and tape the seam...

Ok, moving forward! The concrete guy came out last Sunday and got a plan together, weather was kinda garbage most of this week (3" of sloppy snow that was here for 2 days) and they put down the rebar grid today, so I can get the PEX in this weekend hopefully! I'll get some pictures this weekend.

Now I need to get the floor "extras" put together, I picked up some "Chain Pots" and two 18" long receiver tubes from Harbor Freight to cut up and put into the floor for attachments... I know the proper tubing is probably cheaper but can't be by much...

So this means I should be ready to pour in a week or so!

I got the PEX installed today, I'll get pics up in the morning, I'm beat... I'm pretty sure I used 1000 zip ties myself today... still have some touchup since a couple of the loops go up, gotta look into securing those... then to figure out the floor additions and get some mud taken care of in the driveway to the shop as it's getting a little sloppy for a few feet and the concrete guy rightfully doesn't want to risk a truck getting stuck (I highly doubt a 10' sloppy spot will stop one of those, but I don't wanna pay for that extraction either...)

i know its probably not in your budget, but i always include cost for concrete pump on my jobs. dont like the damage the trucks do to my property. and besides the job just goes smoother with less guys.

There's one in the quote now, but the guy thinks he can get by without, I can deal with paying for it but hey, $700 is $700... I doubt the concrete trucks are significantly heaver than the dump trucks with 10 yards of wet gravel and they didn't do too much, the driveway is short, I'll get a road shot later...

Ok, enough waiting, here's the pics from yesterday. With all of that we only put one kink in the PEX early in the second circuit, reading into it all it takes is a heat gun to straighten out so I'll dig out the heat gun and fix that in a bit.

That's probably the problem being marked up but I have no idea, if all I have to do is spread a little bit of gravel I already have and was gonna do eventually anyway it's not a big deal :). I'll have to get another load of gravel no matter what so no biggie.

I'm wondering about stapling up some cheap paper against the outside walls to make clean up from cement splatter a bit easier.
