I was wondering about that & started to ask if you were sure about the OE size. I figured it was your tractor & you knew what you had. :D Mine are 12.4x11x28 also 7x16 on the front

Yeah it was typical me-typing one thing and my mind being somewhere else. :D

Looking forward to hearing how you like the SSQA. I have a skid steer myself and having the ability to remove my bucket in seconds sure is slick. From personal experience with both pallet forks and a grapple, the best combination is pallet forks with a single grapple thumb, so much more versatile.

Thanks for the insight sounds great! I am thinking there will be more projects than I know that will come up there usually is when you buy a new attachment. :D

update on ETA: I guess from what I gathered from the call I made to the JD dealer they had my pallet of parts end of last week already! And no one but the mechanic that off loaded it knew about it that figures I knew something was wrong its only 450 miles!

They are making it up by meeting me half way so that saves me time and I appreciate the thought. Fact I am waiting on their driver to call me at any time now this morning so I can run over there.

o.k. CarDoc I am taking your advice and will take two-beers and wait til you post some pics.....love to see new parts, barckets and the like. I hope you like the finished project as my 336 may also get a quick plate once you have yours working.......

Although that may require two additional beers.............................................

Well as promised here are some before and after pics of the QA skid steer attachment with pallet forks. :D

Of course the first job was to see if I could lift and move those big pallets of firewood. (and thats about all the weight this tractor wants to lift safely)

Cutting the mount off my bucket is next and them welding the skid steer plate on it. I have concerns about whether I will lose some of my rearward curl if the plate is mounted flat to the backside of the bucket.

Reason I say that is the forks have no rear curl as is and I dont know what to think about that...designed in or what. It lifts at a slight negative forwards angle and about 1 foot off the ground levels out so thats why I am reserving my thoughts on it for now.

And will do the head scratching on the bucket later today or tomorrow I need to cut the bracket off first, I definitely want to keep my full arc.

Could you weld a 'heel' to the back of each fork, down where it rests against the QA plate? That would raise the tips of the forks.

That looks like a great rig. I envy you guys with state of the art equipment!

Shiny paint, new tires, quick attach bling.. what's next, a gimbal mounted seat? :D

You're putting together the perfect rig. What will happen when you run out of things to improve? ..wait, is that even possible? ;)

Looking good! I defiantly would do something about the lack of roll back with the forks flat on the ground. I absolutely love having the 35* roll back angle on my Deere, it allows you to stack so much more in your bucket and rarely spills a load. I definatly envy you on those forks, I have been needing a set since i got my Deere, i have to wait until i sell my small utility trailer to get a set though.

Thanks Jake looks like you are getting some work done yourself!

Yup we need that roll back for sure thats my thinking also. I like as much control as I can get especially when it means I may be picking stuff back up by hand that spilled.

I think California hit that fix right on the head.

I am keeping the fork angle (or lack of) in mind when I weld the SS plate on my bucket when I get time for it maybe this weekend.

I have already taken the forks off so I could mow and it is very easy to do. I can see I will appreciate changing attachments on the front being as easy to change as the rear that will be nice.

The last weld is done (I hate running out of something right when I am almost done) and its painted and all is well.

The mount before was higher on the bucket by 1 1/2" roughly -pic 4, and I raised the plate as high as I dared w/o weakening it at the top- pic 5. I sure didn't want to lose the ability to lift the front wheels off the ground and I didn't still can.

I now have a center place to hook a chain when necessary that is an added bonus.

I have been thinking about the forks lack of rear tilt and no adjustment and believe California's idea is the way to do it so thanks to him!

I have some 3/8 flat and I plan on building a wedge basically to weld at the back of the forks where they bear down on the lower bar across the quick attach I will post pics later.
