Ordered another front wheel today through Deere and got the rears back off the tractor so I can get the tires dismounted and wheels sand blasted. Really looking forward to getting this tractor dialed in.

More progress, got the tires dismounted today and picked up the 4th wheel. Next step is getting the wheels sand blasted so I can get a fresh coat of Yanmar off white on them.

Just some cosmetic changes to clean up the 226D.

Is that a replacement Yanmar Diesel decal ?

It is yes. They’re not quite as long as the originals but they do look a little nicer without all the fading.

Where did you source them, are those the replacements from Hoye.

Made a trip out to a friends house and found some Yanmar side panels. unfortunately they weren’t exactly right but with slight modifications they fit right on.

And I got another project tractor…. Allis Chalmers 5020 (Hinomoto E23 if I’m not mistaken)

From what I recall reading here more than a decade ago - Those are excellent, every bit as good as the Yanmars. But with one exception: A few people were crying that they broke the ring gear or front differential or something similar, with no hope of repairing it. No parts available. Hinomoto folded long ago. That unavailable part was already stripped from every salvage yard Hinomoto.

I guess the thing to be learned is don't overstress the differentials and you will be fine.
