Ok that what I thought too. Is there a HD square back bucket as well as the round back one?

The L30 series brochure shows the square back bucket part numbers L2283 and L2235 and heavy duty round back bucket as part numbers L2293 and L2240. In both cases, the second bucket is a skid steer QA model. There is also a material bucket model number L2236

slowzuki,
I have a 72" material bucket on my 3430HSTC and love it. I have the quick attach and across the top of the bucket there's an extra plate that runs the width of the quick attach. I don't know if this bucket is called heavy duty or not, but it sure looks heavy duty to me. Check with your dealer to see if he has the different buckets in stock so you can do a side by side comparison.

The tractor is parked out in the yard! Its kinda killing me cause when we got home I had no time to play on it!

So we drove the hour to pick it up in the US, we were meeting the delivery truck a couple of hours from the dealer. Once we got there we realized we forgot the ramps! This was after we had a scramble for loadbinders when we left!

So we used a snowbank to load it, had 4" clearance the sides on the trailer, good think they had the tires set narrow!

Got back to the border and didn't have any trouble getting paperwork done.

Got it home and the only unloading spot was into a mud hole so she is nice and goopy already!

Pretty impressive rig so far, will get some pics tomorrow, gonna do some logging with it.

HAve to do an oil change too, the dealer didn't change it like he said he would...

Oh and the standard duty bucket came on it, and it is beat up bad, the bottom bowed and the cutting edge is nearly worn off. I'll have to fire up the welder.

Slow,

It sounds like the dealer might have taken an older bucket and swapped it on you.....I guess it's possible, but that doesn't sound like a bucket from a relatively new machine. It would take a long time to wear down the cutting edge even on a non-HD bucket.

Nice purchase. That's gunna be a fun rig...especially during the next snowstorm.

slow,
Glad to hear you got it home safely /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif. I'd check with the dealer on that bucket. I agree with Jim, it takes a very long time to wear down that cutting edge. Sounds to me the ole' switch-a-rue might of happened /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif You'll love that cab /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well I checked out the bucket more, I am sure it is the same bucket but the dealer told me it was a heavy duty bucket. Too bad the sticker on the back says LIGHT MATERIAL BUCKET.

The cutting edge is worn because they used it to clear the parking lot all winter.

Did some logging today and it is nice to use a winch! Borrowed an older Farmi from a fellow.
